Let’s be honest, who hasn’t cheated at a game? Cheating goes all the way back to the dawn of games themselves; as do the punishments if you get caught. However, cheating in a video game isn’t as easy as slipping a card beneath your palm or adding some extra weight to a dice. Most of them involve at least a rudimentary knowledge of coding and how to edit files. Additionally, most of them will get you banned if you get caught. All of them will piss everyone else off.

Surprisingly, not all cheats are unwanted. Games like Overwatch and Team Fortress 2 have features that most would consider cheating, such as being able to see opponents through walls or disguising yourself as the enemy. Even Call of Duty games offer a few freebies to those who know where to look. Heck, the recently remastered Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has the option to turn cheats on and gives you a large list to select from. Granted, turning the cheats on also turns off achievements and leveling. Those features reactivate after you turn the cheats off.

While some companies do embrace minor cheats, this list will likely get you banned if you use them. Additionally, I am in no way endorsing cheating. Do not hack your game. Do not cheat. Or at least, don’t cheat in multiplayer. This list is more for educational purposes to let people know what is out there in the wide world of hacking.

15 God Mode

Via: screenrant.com

Getting to God Mode varies from one Call of Duty game to the next, but the end result is always the same; you can’t take damage or die. Some of the games require players to exploit a glitch. An earlier version of Call of Duty let you activate God Mode through the developer console on the PC. However, in the newer games like Infinite Warfare, the only way to access God Mode is through a hacked server. Since Infinite Warfare uses peer-to-peer servers, your computer must be the host in order for God Mode to work. While it doesn’t increase your ability to kill, it does mean you don’t have to worry about anyone killing you. In God Mode, you can run around till you’re blue in the face. Feel free to jump off of any high ledge or play hot potato with live grenades.

14 Walk Through Walls

via mobygames.com

If you have ever been jealous of Casper the friendly ghost, this cheat will make you happier than a kid in a candy store. The noclip command allow players to zip through walls without fear of smashing their digital faces into virtual concrete. It will also scare the living piss out of the poor person on the other side of the wall. Do this in zombie mode, and they just might have a heart attack. Noclip, like a lot of cheats, requires players to go into the developer console and input the correct code. Of course, there are a few noclip glitches scattered throughout the series. But the easiest way is through the console commands. Once inputted, you’ll be free to wander in any direction you like without fear of running into anything. However, the noclip console command does render your weapons inoperable.

13 Wallhack And ESP

gxprocordhacks.blogspot.com

Wallhacks are fairly well known and one of the more common hacks you’ll find. They allow players to see other players through the wall. Some of the more basic ones only show gamertags and direction. More complicated wallhacks and ESP (Extrasensory Perception) will let you see the silhouettes of other players. Either way, it is an extremely powerful cheat. Not only does it make tracking down other players that much easier, but it also makes it harder for your enemies to sneak up on you. A few Call of Duty games have wallhack glitches, most of the times wallhacks have to be added through hacking. Hence the name.

Interestingly enough, Blizzard decided to make wallhacks a feature of Overwatch. A couple of characters have a limited ability to see other players through walls. Although, these perks aren’t nearly as powerful as a true wallhack.

12 Give Me!

Via: youtube.com (RcnetO)

Console commands can do a lot of things. Some of them unlock hidden levels while others make you totally invincible. Give me commands provide you with all the ammunition and supplies that you need. There are simple ones like give health or give ammo that refill the health bar and ammo slots respectively. Other, more complex ones, will provide you with specific weapons like give rpg, give dragunov, or give saw. There are even all encompassing commands such as give all which gives you instant access to every weapon in the game. The specific commands can vary from one game to the next, but the idea is the same. However, they ensure that you’ll never have to go hunting for anything again. So long as you have access to the developer console, it will be at your fingertips.

11  Aimbot: Never Miss

Aiming is one of the most, if not the most, crucial things in a shooter. You can’t aim, you can kiss your butt goodbye. This is especially true in Call of Duty multiplayer where the opposing team will turn you into Swiss cheese the second you spawn. What’s more, the better you are at aiming, the better you are at killing. Headshots can be insta-kills while picking at the body would take longer. So, of course, someone found a way to cheat the system. This is where aimbots come in. There are a ton of different varieties, and they come in all kinds of flavors from simple instant aiming to constantly targeting the head. However, these bots make it impossible to miss. It’s also really easy to tell if someone is using an aimbot.

10 Level Jumping

via callofduty.wikia.com

This particular cheat only applies to the single player campaign, and it’s not as egregious as some of the other items on this list. After all, the worst it can do is just change the order of the campaign. Like a lot of cheats, the exact code needed to implement the cheats vary from game to game, and they all require access to the developer console. However, once in, you can easily select the map or mission that you want. In the case of Modern Warfare, imputing the command map bastogne1 would take you to the first mission of the game. Map kharkov2 instantly throws you into the 13th and final mission. While they aren’t the most exciting cheats in the world, it could absolutely help when you’re achievement hunting.

9 Shadows Of Evil Roundup

via vg247.com

The Shadows of Evil zombie map in Black Ops III is a complex map with a lot of different areas and hidden treasures. There are a multitude of guns available, however, you need to have enough points in order to purchase the guns. So, in addition to trying to survive the undead legion for 100 rounds, you’ll need to gather enough points to collect weapons or unlock items. However, there is a way to make your life a lot easier, and it is surprisingly simple. After you spawn into the map in round one, you can look up to see a figure standing on a metal walkway. All you have to do is shoot him a lot, and he’ll boost you all the way to level 15 with 16,500 points to get you started. Granted, the zombies will be moving fast by that point, so you’ll still need to survive on your own ability.

8 Order Up! Secret Menu

gottabemobile.com

Call of Duty: Black Ops III has a lot of hidden secret. Heck, the whole franchise is littered with them. However, hidden within the data vault in Black Ops III is a secret menu that boasts all kinds of goodies for those who know where to find it. If you click and hold the S logo on the Data Vault, you’ll gain access to the hidden Dead Ops Arcade 2 minigame. It even comes with the nifty trophy Silverback in Black. However, if you can manage to pull up the secret menu, there are two known codes that give you a little boost. The first provides 100 fabrication kits. The second one unlocks Nightmare mode. Normally, this mode can only be accessed if you complete the campaign.

7 No Target: Never Get Shot At Again

via: youtube.com

Anyone who has ever played a shooter can tell you about the hoards of enemies that you have to defeat with your gun and your wits. Every level is filled with mobs that you have to pass. None of the NPCs will show you any sort of mercy as they charge at you. However, once you’ve managed to pass through the murderous crowd you’ll be greatly rewarded. So what if you didn’t have to fight them? The no target cheat allows you to walk through the battle completely unscathed without having to fire a single shot. Once no target is activated, none of the enemies will shoot at you. Older Call of Duty games offered the no target cheat as an option in the developer console.

6 Unlimited Everything

Via: The Koalition

Part of what makes Call of Duty challenging is the limited supplies you have to carefully ration and consider. Your ammo is limited. You only have a certain amount of health to deal with. However, there are a series of cheats and glitches throughout the series that remove those barriers and let you go hog wild. Everything from unlimited health to infinite grenade and ammo can be found in one game or another. In Infinite Warfare, you can even give yourself infinite jetpack-energy to fly everywhere! Combine that with infinite ammo and grenades and there will be nothing that can stop you. Most of these unlimited or infinite cheats require you to hack your game, but there are a few that are just glitches.

5 The Keys To Everything

Via: playstationlifestyle.net

One exciting thing about leveling up is the great stuff that you can unlock. Weapons, perks, levels, and even entire game modes. However, to get everything it would require you to pour a hundred hours into the game at least. The quick way to get around that is either through hacking or console commands. There are a few instances where unlocking a specific level is more of a hidden secret than a cheat. But for the most part, if you want to instantly unlock everything, you’ll need to know the console commands. Although there is no one command that unlocks everything, there are a few that can work together to completely free up the game. Then again, you can always just hack the game to get the same result.

4 No Recoil, No Worries

Via: pcinvasion.com

Recoil is one of those things that adds realism to a shooter. The bigger the gun, the more recoil it will have. However, it makes aiming and firing in rapid succession that much more difficult. Many gamers appreciate the touch, especially because it helps make the game more difficult. However, not everyone likes it. Although the recoil in a few of the Call of Duty games, there are many cheats that will let you get rid of the pesky recoil. Of course, as with most of these cheats, a few of the games do have glitches that allow you to remove recoil from your guns without hacking the game. However, the only real way to ensure you remove the recoil is via a cheat. Removing the recoil isn’t as obvious as walking through walls, but it subtly changes the game. Getting rid of the recoil also removes a level of immersion in return.

3 Max Prestige With Minimal Effort

Via: youtube.com (Multiplayer Aguilar)

Prestige in Call of Duty is an absolute grind. Once you hit max level in the Call of Duty multiplayer, the game will give you the option to enter Prestige mode. What this does is it completely resets everything. All of your hard earned weapons, unlocks, and rank will be wiped clean. You’ll be thrown back to level one and will have to start all over again So why do it? Well, not only do you get bragging rights but there are some handy perks at the end if you can reach max prestige. So, it’s absolutely no surprise that there are hacks and even glitches that people exploit to instantly jump to max prestige. Granted, for most of the glitches and hacks, you’ll still have to do at least some work. The max prestige hacks tend to only increase the amount of XP you get from each kill. Of course, that amount can be ridiculously high, but you’ll still have to work a little bit.

2 Daredevil Tracking

Via: bayvarianben.com

This is the tamest entry on this list and one of two that I’ll actually explain how to do. Unlike the others entries, this takes advantage of the game’s built in mechanics to completely break things in your favor. While it could theoretically be used in any Call of Duty, these steps are specific to Infinite Warfare. The first step is to go into your audio options and completely silence music and voice volume. For this trick to work, it’s important to keep the sound effects volume high. Additionally, you’ll want to switch the sound output to headphones. While it works without headphones, you’ll have an easier time with them. Next, you’ll need to apply the Dead Silence perk. It will completely silence your footsteps and jump pack. After a little bit of practice, you’ll get used to how things sound in the various maps and will be able to tell where anyone is based off of the noise they make.

1 Silence And Heavy Lifting With Ease

Via: teambeyond.net

This is the second cheat that I’ll explain how to do as, once again, it only takes advantage of built in game mechanics. Additionally, this is specific to Infinite Warfare. What you’ll need to do is select the merc class and use the Man-at-Arms perk in conjunction with Dead Silence and Reactive Armor. What the Man-at-Arms perk lets you do is start the game with maximum ammo, and you’ll receive no penalty to speed because of heavy weapons. This means you can walk around with light machine guns at the same speed as everyone else. If you use the R.A.W. Repeater, you’ll never have to reload. You’ll be able to outgun your opponents, never run out of ammo, not have to worry about slow movement, and with Dead Silence, you’ll know where everyone is. This particular loadout is so powerful that it completely breaks the game.
