The gaming industry used to live in exclusivity. Consoles went to war with each other by publishing games that would only appear on their respective systems. However, Microsoft has since made a massive push to release its games on PC and Sony is slowly following suit.

PC players now have access to a wide backlog of titles that were previously only available on PlayStation consoles. First-party games, third-party releases, and even indie partners have made the jump, with many more titles on the horizon. Sony will only be bringing more games to PC in the future with the help of studios like Nixxes Software, adding to the already long list of games that have been ported over.

10 Horizon Zero Dawn

Horizon Zero Dawn - Alloy Facing Down A Giant Eagle Machine

It came as a big shock to the industry when Horizon Zero Dawn was released on PC. This was a current-gen, first-party Sony game that was making the leap to Steam. Needless to say, this was the first of many more ports to come. Horizon Zero Dawn spawned a franchise that continues to this day, and puts you in the shoes of Aloy as she learns of what led the world to become a tribal landscape dominated by robotic dinosaurs.

Gorgeous graphics, deep combat, and spectacular moments are abound in this title. Keep in mind that the graphics will push your PC hard.

9 Journey

The sun behind the mountain giving the desert a golden shimmer in Journey

Journey was originally an indie release on the PS3 that was ported to the PS4. Just about anyone who has played the game will tell you it's a special experience. The game can be completed in a few hours, but it's an enjoyable ride all the way through. It has no dialogue, but manages to evoke feelings of cooperation, sorrow, loneliness, joy, and more.

Complete with polished mechanics, gorgeous visuals, and one of the best soundtracks in game history, Journey remains one of the best PlayStation releases that PC players can now enjoy.

While it took Square Enix years to complete the Final Fantasy 7 Remake project, the end product speaks for itself. Seeing Cloud, Tifa, Barret, and more in a whole new light is enthralling. Being the first part in multi-part remake, this entry completely re-imagines what a remake is while still being a strong game on its own merit.

The PC release is the Intergrade version, first released on PS5, which includes the Episode Intermission DLC where you can take control of Yuffie in her own side story.

7 God Of War

2018's Game of the Year release made its way to PC. God of War has been referred to by many as the game of its generation. Santa Monica re-imagined Kratos's journey as a tortured and harsh father dealing with the personal fallout of his past adventures. Much time was spent on the mechanics of this game, all the way down to the feel of recalling the Leviathan Axe.

PC players can take the jump into Midgard and battle dragons, draugr, and trolls. It's also a good way to play the game before God of War: Ragnarok releases later in 2022.

6 Persona 4 Golden

Yu, Chie, Yukiko, Yosuke, Naoto, Rise, Kanji, and Teddy don their special glasses as they delve into the Shadow World in Persona 4 Golden.

The Persona series has a complicated history when it comes to availability. Persona 5 is still a PS4 exclusive, and the first two Persona games are practically nonexistent as far as Atlus is concerned. However, PS Vita owners have sung the praises of Persona 4 Golden for years.

This refined social sim mixed with a JRPG is sharp, well-made, and full of memorable characters. If you're ready to sink your teeth into a deep adventure and uncover all sorts of mysteries, then there's nothing stopping you from adding this iconic game to your Steam library.

5 Days Gone

Days Gone zombie horde

When Days Gone first released, it received flak for its numerous bugs and technical issues. Since its patch on PS5 and full release on PC, though, Bend Studio has ironed out the kinks and turned this open-world zombie game into something worth playing. Ride your motorcycle through the varied terrain of Utah while tackling hordes of Freakers and taking part in wars between factions.

Days Gone is a massive adventure with a lot of options at your disposal. It also has one of the best implementations of HDR.

4 Death Stranding: Director's Cut

Hideo Kojima's latest game was one of the first dominos to fall with previous PlayStation exclusives getting ported to PC. While some aren't fond of Death Stranding, there's no denying that the game is Kojima's vision from start to finish. Delivering packages across the land turns the world itself into an obstacle you must overcome.

The Director's Cut includes improvements to combat and traversal that make the game even better than it was at launch. If you're into Kojima's adventures, then this is a title you don't want to miss.

3 Nioh and Nioh 2

The Raiken Guardian Spirit attacking enemies in Nioh

The Nioh games were Team Ninja's answer to the Dark Souls games. While the concern was that they would be derivative rip-offs, the end result turned out to be extremely solid. The Nioh games combined the best aspects of the Souls games and injected a Diablo-like loot system and a mission style straight out of Monster Hunter. The games have so much content, variety, and depth that you'll be kept busy for hundreds of hours.

The PC versions also include all the DLC for both games, ensuring you get the complete experience, no matter which game you choose.

2 Detroit Become Human

Quantic Dream released several games that were PlayStation exclusives, but they've all since made the jump to PC. Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls, and Detroit Become Human can all be added to your PC library. The newest of the three games, Detroit, is a refinement of the formula Quantic Dream worked on for years.

The game plays out like a choose-your-own-adventure that keeps the tension all the way through. While that style of game may not be for everyone, you'd be hard pressed to find a title that does it better than this one.

1 Helldivers

helldivers

If you haven't heard of Helldivers, that's because it was a game that went largely under the radar. It was a Sony-published, cooperative twin-stick shooter for PS4 and PS Vita. It doesn't have the high production value of PlayStation's larger games and likely went unnoticed as a result. However, the game maintained a strong following and was brought to PC in the form of the Dive Harder Edition. This version contains the game and all its DLC. With a $19.99 price tag, you'll have no trouble getting your friends to jump in the action as well.
