Loki officially joined the seemingly infinite Fortnite roster this week, and players using his skin have already discovered a pretty major problem.

Fortnite added Loki to its roster this week in conjunction with the God of Mischief's ongoing Disney Plus show. Loki joins a growing number of Marvel characters now stuck in The Loop including Black Widow, Captain America, and Thanos. Neither Fortnite nor Marvel has put a foot wrong during this collaboration, however, some owners of the Loki skin have highlighted a problem.

A pretty significant problem at that. The Loki variant available if you are a subscriber to Fortnite Crew includes some pretty elaborate headgear. The iconic gold helmet Loki has been seen wearing in the MCU. It sports two sizable horns, perfect for showing off that you pay $11.99 a month for Fortnite's subscription service. However, it seems those showy horns are getting in the way.

Fortnite players using the Loki skin have been sharing screenshots on Reddit demonstrating just how much of their field of view is obscured by the horns. In certain situations, it's a lot. When staring down the barrel of an opponent's plasma rifle, the last thing you want is for your flashy headgear to prevent you from being able to see that opponent and fight back.

The screenshot above is a worst-case scenario, of course. That doesn't avoid the fact that no matter how you frame it, Loki's horns are going to get in the way. Those using it are asking Epic to make the horns shorter. Or, even better, add a different Loki skin that has the demigod wearing a different helmet with shorter horns like he does in his Disney Plus show. Or, you know, no horned helmet at all.

What should be pointed out at this point is even though Loki's horns make him an easier target, his skin still has the same sized hitboxes as every other skin in the game. Nevertheless, this might be one of the first examples of an inadvertent pay-to-lose mechanic in Fortnite. Odds are you might see fewer Lokis than you thought running around the island this weekend as players might not be willing to sacrifice a shot at a victory royale just to look good.
