Season one of Minecraft: Story Mode will debut on the Nintendo Switch on Aug. 22, 2017. Called The Complete Adventure, it will feature all five episodes from season one, as well as the three bonus episodes from the “Adventure Pass” add-on series.

And if that news wasn’t good enough, the new episodes will all have Telltale’s “Crowd Play” feature, which allows friends and family to join in on the story. Crowd Play allows spectators of the game to vote on what actions they’d like the characters to take, making it perfect for Twitch streaming. It supports up to 2,000 voters at a time, and you can access the feature from your computer or mobile device.

Telltale Games has seen enormous growth since its founding in 2003. Beginning with Bone: Out From Boneville and Sam & Max Save The World, they have since gone on to partner with huge television franchises like The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. Even Hollywood has gotten in on the action with a Telltale version of Jurassic Park.

With over 121 million copies of the game sold across all platforms, Minecraft is the second most popular game of all time (just behind Tetris). The world of Minecraft easily allows for more complex stories to be told, which made it a perfect partner for Telltale’s episodic adventure stories.
