Today is Valentine's Day. A day to celebrate love and perhaps even buy a gift or a card for the significant other in your life. If that SO is a gamer just like you, then perhaps your V-Day plans will be focused on games you like to share together. Dropping into Fortnite for a few rounds of Duos, or another playthrough of It Takes Two. Yes, it's a game about divorce, but it's co-op and you control a couple, so it still counts.

Chocolate tends to be a big part of Valentine's Day, whether you're giving a box of them to somebody or eating some to help pass the time until February 15. Either way, since you're reading this on a site called TheGamer, odds are you'd love some official Nintendo chocolates in the shape of Switch Joy-Con. Sweet, adorable, and they'd probably taste pretty good too because come on, it's chocolate.

As you can see in the first tweet below, Switch Joy-Con chocolates are seemingly real, and they look perfect. Nintendo shared a couple of photos of them on Twitter with the caption, “Who would you share one of these with? Tag your player 2 and let them know.” They appear to be milk chocolate and white chocolate with dark chocolate buttons. But hold on a second before you bust out your debit cards.

The chocolate Joy-Con aren't real. Well, they're real and exist somewhere because there are photos of them right there. They're just not for sale. Seven minutes after tweeting the photos, Nintendo felt compelled to add the disclaimer “Please note that this is a fictional product and is not available for sale.” Presumably the console creator's Twitter account was plagued with people who wanted to know where they can buy these adorable little Joy-Con treats.

Bad news everyone, you can't. Nintendo claims they are fictional, again despite sharing photos of them, and you cannot buy Switch chocolates for your loved ones or for yourself this Valentine's Day. Perhaps if we all pester Nintendo enough they will make some before next Valentine's Day, or even better, before the next chocolate-based holiday. Easter is right around the corner. Ready your chocolatiers, Nintendo, we know you have some on staff.
