The fans of Vampire: The Masquerade will soon have a chance to experience one of the most important moments in the history of the series, as the culling of the Kindred in London is the setting for the Fall of London chronicle, which is due to be released in March.
In the lore of the current edition of Vampire: The Masquerade, the secret services of the world have become aware of the existence of Kindred and have formed a Second Inquisition to destroy them in secret. The city of London was devasted by the Second Inquisition, with many of the powerful Kindred who had been running the city for centuries being destroyed at the hands of mortal vampire hunters. It's believed that Mithras, one of the most ancient and powerful vampires in existence, was destroyed during these attacks.

The fans will soon have the chance to learn the truth about the attack on London in 2012, as Modiphius has announced that the hardcover of the Fall of London chronicle is due to be released in March, with a PDF available to those who pre-order the book. The story of Fall of London will put the players in the role of Kindred who must seek out five mystical objects belonging to Mithras, just as the Second Inquisition is gearing up for its assault on the city. The fate of one of the most poweful Kindred in existence hangs in the balance and the players might be able to save him from his fate... assuming that they don't just want his heart's blood for themselves.
The fallout from the destruction of London's Kindred sent shockwaves throughout the Vampire: The Masquerade world. The elders who believed that their biggest opponent was another ancient vampire soon realized that a mortal with a flamethrower was just as big a threat and was now on their doorstep. If someone as powerful as Mithras can be taken down, then no one is safe from the Second Inquistion, least of all a few Kindred who are thrust into the action.
Fall of London will be Modiphius' first chronicle for the current edition of Vampire: The Masquerade and it's promising to start things off with a bang. One of the most difficult tasks facing any new storyteller is coming up with a compelling setting that has a reason to keep the coterie together and stop them from backstabbing each other within the first five minutes.
