It’s time to get all fired up, again. A manga that is the sequel to Fairy Tail is being turned into an anime.

Fairy Tail - the manga turned anime about Natsu Dragneel and his quest to find his adoptive father, dragon Igneel - ran from 2006 until 2017 in print, with the anime running for ten years - 2009 until 2019, both being written by Hiro Mashima. Mashima created a sequel manga in 2018 - Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest - and brought on Atsuo Ueda to illustrate. The manga is still in production, currently with nine volumes.

Now, that sequel manga is being turned into an anime. Ueda made an announcement via his Twitter.

Additionally, a teaser trailer was released on the official YouTube channel for Shonen Magazine. The thirty second clip show images of your favorite guild members, dragons and more.

And if you can’t wait for the anime, you can get your Fairy Tale fix in the form of a new game created in a similar style. Gate of Nightmares - an upcoming mobile game- is a collaboration with Mashima and Square Enix and takes place in a world where dreams are manifested into reality.

In other anime news, Netflix’s new live action adaptation of popular science fiction neo-noir anime Cowboy Bebop is also getting a comic and novel series. Netflix is will be releasing the final season of the gory martial arts anime - Baki. Fans will finally get to see the Baki Hanma face his father, Yujiro. It is also rumored that Aggretsuko will be returning for a fourth season in October. Sadly, the streaming service is removing a lot of Naruto and Inuyasha movies next month.
