Star Wars fans seemed to be cautiously optimistic about the opening of the Star Wars Galactic Cruiser resort, despite some backlash. Sure, we knew it would be pricey, but an immersive Star Wars experience sounds like a whole lot of fun - complete with an authentic cantina, and even lightsaber training.

However, now that the reviews are in, fans aren't loving what they see. The $5,299 suites that house a family of three are being labelled "unforgivable" and "depressing", and footage shows that they're pretty cosy, to put it mildly. For over five grand, you get a double bed right next to a bunk, in a layout that's more reminiscent of cheaper resort accommodation.

From what we can see, the room is at least pretty Star Wars themed (thanks, Dexerto), but many don't feel that it is worth the price of admission. Others in the replies highlight that this is a price hike when compared to Disney's other offerings.

Some fans are defending the price point, explaining that with a bunch of activities crammed into the two-day stay, it isn't likely that you'll spend much time in the cabin. However, even the reviewers who seemed to have a great time on the trip highlight that this won't be accessible for all incomes.

IGN's slideshow of their stay shows what else you'll get for the $5,000 trip. Everywhere else on the ship is very spacious, and at least gives you more luxurious rooms to explore than the one you'll be staying in. Once you're in the zone and all Star Wars'd out, you'll probably be too immersed to care if the bedroom is a little cramped anyway. Well, that's if you're lucky enough to afford the trip in the first place, of course.

Star Wars Galactic Starcruise opens March 1.
