Season of the Haunted has brought back a lot of familiar faces to Destiny 2, but it’s also provided some refreshed versions of old classics. Horror’s Least, Hero’s Burden, and D.F.A. are just a few of the great weapons available this season with new Origin Traits and perk combinations to farm for. You never know which of these world-drop weapons could become the new Funnel Web, so be sure to cash your Engrams in with Raul to see if you get any of these great weapon rolls.

It's a good thing Lunulata-4B has Veist Stinger, since otherwise Guardians would to have to choose between damage and draw speed on this Lightweight Frame Bow. Successful Warm-Up would normally be the hands-down favorite, but it shares the right perk column with Adrenaline Junkie, Headstone, and Golden Tricorn. The left column is largely full of utility perks of questionable usefulness on a bow, although Rangefinder and Shoot To Loot will likely be favorites in PvE content. On the other hand, if you absolutely love both Bows and Stasis, then Lunulata-4B is your only option.

Best PvE Roll: Polymer String, Fiberglass Arrow Shaft, Shoot To Loot, Headstone

Burden Of Guilt

Fusion Rifles received a pretty substantial range nerf in the latest update, so it's questionable whether Burden Of Guilt will see play in either PvE content or the Crucible. Well-Rounded and Killing Wind seem the natural choices to boost the reduced range all Fusions now have, while Successful Warm-Up will maximize DPS. In the Crucible, High-Impact Reserves or Vorpal will provide the most milage. For those looking to maximize their Stasis builds, Chill Clip is the obvious choice.

Best PvE Roll: Hammer-Forged Rifling, Projection Fuse, Well-Rounded, Chill Clip/Successful Warm-Up

Best PvP Roll: Hammer-Forged Rifling, Projection Fuse, Killing Wind, High-Impact Reserves

Riptide

The new Crucible Fusion Rifle offers something in the Kinetic slot, which might be very appealing on certain loadouts, but its massive perk pool and the fact its awarded randomly after Crucible matches makes it impossible to grind for. Which is too bad, as there are a lot of great combinations possible in Riptide.

For PvE, it's either Auto-Loading Holster, Feeding Frenzy, or Perpetual Motion in the first column, and either Frenzy, Chill Clip, Successful Warm-Up, or Harmony in the second column. Curcible players will want to keep an eye out for Under Pressure and Snapshot Sights to give this Fusion added reliability thanks to the range nerf.

Best PvE Roll: Smallbore, Accelerated Coils, Auto-Loading Holster, Chill Clip

Best PvP Roll: Smallbore, Projection Fuse, Under Pressure, Snapshot Sights

D.F.A.

The legend returns with some new tricks. Outlaw/Rampage is still there for those who love the classics, but PvP Guardians will have a plethora of new combinations to choose from. Fragile Focus and Opening Shot can make sure quickdraws get great range and target acquisition if they can get their shots off first. Perpetual Motion is great for highly mobile players, and Timed Payload can make you a terror to duel with. If you can land your shots, Triple-Tap and Focused Fury promise extra bullets with extra damage, and Wellspring can help any ability-based builds.

Best PvE Roll: Smallbore, Tactical Mag, Triple Tap, Focused Fury

Best PvP Roll: Smallbore, Accurized Rounds, Fragile Focus, Opening Shot

Enyo-D

via Light.gg

Antiope-D is back with a highly desirable Hakke Breach Armaments Trait and some fantastic options for Submachine Gun fans. Damage comes from either Multi-Kill Clip, Rampage, or Surrounded, while reload comes from Feeding Frenzy. If you prefer to boost the Enyo-D's range, then Well-Rounded and Encore are both here for you.

In PvP, Enyo-D is unlikely to surpass Shayura's Wrath anytime soon, but it can at least compete thanks to Vorpal and Tunnel Vision.

Best PvE Roll: Corkscrew Rifling, Tactical Mag, Feeding Frenzy, Rampage

Best PvP Roll: Smallbore, Accurized Rounds, Tunnel Vision, Vorpal

Strident Whistle

STRIDENT WHISTLE

Finally, a Solar Bow! Sadly, this Vanguard Ops-only reward comes with so many perks that you'll never be able to farm it. Which is a shame since this bow has literally everything. Archer's Tempo, Successful Warm-up, Dragonfly, Vorpal, Opening Shot, Wellspring, Incandescent, Explosive Head--the list goes on and on. Not every roll will be good, but Strident Whistle has the potential to be great.

Best PvE Roll: Polymer String, Helical Fletching, Archer's Tempo, Dragonfly

Best PvP Roll: Polymer String, Helical Fletching, Rangefinder, Explosive Head

The Wizened Rebuke

Our new Iron Banner Fusion Rifle doesn't have a lot going for it. Both Iron Grip and Iron Gaze are still awful perks, and the Skulking Wolf Origin Trait doesn't do enough to justify its existence. Worse, High-Impact Fusions still have ludicrous charge times even after the recent reduction thanks to Season of the Haunted.

In regular content, Subsistence and Successful Warm-Up will provide a consistent Fusion blast, while PvPers will have to content themselves with Under Pressure and Backup Plan.

Best PvE Roll: Arrowhead Brake, Accelerated Coils, Subsistence, Successful Warm-Up

Best PvP Roll: Arrowhead Brake, Projection Fusy, Under Pressure, Backup Plan

Horror's Least

Horror's Least
via Light.gg

A returning Nightfall reward, Horror's Least provides Rapid-Fire Pulse fans with an Arc option. Given Rapid-Fires are sort of an in-between option, half-way from the usual Pulse style of posting up and plinking at range and something more run-and-gun like an Auto Rifle or Submachine Gun. For this reason, I think Perpetual Motion and Frenzy are a great pairing on Horror's Least, but Zen Moment and Focused Fury make it so easy to empty half a clip into some poor alien's face that it shouldn't be discounted. Compulsive Reloader and Kill Clip make a great pair, and Under Pressure and High-Impact Reserves makes Horror's Least a great option for intense fights.

Best PvE Roll: Arrowhead Brake, Tactical Mag, Perpetual Motion, Frenzy

Best PvP Roll: Arrowhead Brake, Accurized Rounds, Compulsive Reloader, Kill Clip

Staccato-46

Staccato-46
via Light.gg

With Scout Rifles in the seasonal Artifact, Staccato-46 is looking like a very attractive option for bringing into Nightfalls. Incandescent, Dragonfly, and Focused Fury are all great perks on a Precision Scout like the Staccato, while Triple Tap or Outlaw keep the bullets coming. Adaptive Munitions is another right-column perk that just cannot be overlooked in higher-end content like Grandmasters, and Suros Synergy just makes all their weapons feel so good in every Destiny 2 game mode.

Best PvE Roll: Arrowhead Brake, Tactical Mag, Triple Tap, Focused Fury

Best PvP Roll: Arrowhead Brake, Accurized Rounds, Compulsive Reloader, Explosive Payload

Dead Weight

via Light.gg

The new Rapid-Fire Shotgun is a Gambit exclusive, which means it has far too many perks and can only be farmed by grinding out so many Gambit matches that your eyes will bleed. Well-Rounded and Golden Tricorn seem made for each other, and Grave Robber and either Trench Barrel or One-Two Punch are also great combos. More standard reload perks like Surplus and Feeding Frenzy can pair well with either Swashbuckler, Adrenaline Junkie, Harmony, or Surrounded, and there's also Subsistence for those who hate reloading altogether. But ultimately, you'll use whatever Drifter hands you.

Best PvE Roll: Rifled Barrel, Accurized Rounds, Well-Rounded, Golden Tricorn

Best PvP Roll: Rifled Barrel, Accurized Rounds, Steady Hands, Snapshot Sights

Forgiveness

Forgiveness
via Light.gg

Two-shot Sidearms are some of the most popular ones out there, although Sidearms as a class aren't particularly popular. Forgiveness, much like Shuraya's Wrath, gives the Aggressive Burst Sidearm a big boost to its range stat which will go a long way to improving its viability.

Demolitionist and Adrenaline Junkie immediately stand out as a pair of perks to chase after. Harmony and Multi-Kill Clip are also there as damage options, but they're in the same column as Rapid Hit which leaves Forgiveness without a good reload option to pair with either of them. PvPers will have Killing Wind and Air Assault to salivate over, depending on whether they want to keep their feet on the ground or not, and Vorpal always goes with everything.

Best PvE Roll: Corkscrew Rifling, Light Mag, Demolitionist, Adrenaline Junkie

Best PvP Roll: Smallbore, Ricochet Rounds, Air Assault, Vorpal

Gallu RR3

It's going to be really hard to convince people to look away from Beloved's return, but Omolon Snipers feel excellent thanks to Omolon Fluid Dynamics, and especially when you absolutely need to dump an entire clip into a boss. Overload and Focused Fury seem like the best choices for boss cracking, while PvPers can pair either Heating Up or No Distractions with Snapshot Sights.

Best PvE Roll: Arrowhead Brake, Tactical Mag, Overload, Focused Fury

Best PvP Roll: Arrowhead Brake, Accurized Rounds, No Distractions, Snapshot Sights

The Hero's Burden

The Hero's Burden
via Light.gg

The Hero's Burden is our first Adaptive Frame Submachine Gun to return to Destiny 2, and even though Bungie said it was toning down the 900 RPM Subbies a tad, this is likely to become a chase weapon when Iron Banner returns.

For damage, you have either Vorpal or Kill Clip, with the latter slightly edging out the former in my book. Repulsor Brace can be fun for lovers of Void 3.0 and also pairs well with Well-Rounded. Feeding Frenzy in the left column is your only reload perk, but it's got stiff competition from the likes of Zen Moment and Tunnel Vision for PvP players.

Best PvE Roll: Smallbore, Light Mag, Feeding Frenzy, Kill Clip

Best PvP Roll: Smallbore, High-Caliber Rounds, Zen Moment, Vorpal
