Due to a few viral clips coupled with today's trendy "outrage" culture, Alinity has become a household name for animal abuse on Twitch. The double standards of moderation practice on the streaming platform left Alinity in the hot seat when she tossed her cat over her shoulder and wasn't banned for it. Inconsistent treatment of smaller streamers have angered Twitch users, and Alinity received an extra helping of flak when she was caught mistreating one of her cats.
Luckily for all parties, the cat was fine and the situation turned into more of a running joke than a cause for concern – but how are Alinity's pets doing today?
Fortunately, stopping into Alinity's streams reveal that they seem to be doing just fine. They tend to voluntarily flock around her, and even Alinity's top clip for the week features her dog, Luna (or Lunita), playfully chasing one of her cats, Milo (the famously tossed one), in the background. The cat known from Alinity's "Vodka Kiss" clip, Maya, is perched next to Alinity watching the action; The pets all seem as healthy as ever.
In the same stream, she talks about her trip to PetSmart where she bought Luna a new unicorn toy, proceeding to play tug-of-war with the furry critter on-and-off for the next 10 minutes of the stream. From what we can see, it looks like Alinity is treating her pets well and they are all in high spirits.
Alinity may even be going out of her way to appear pet-friendly these days. As of now, her last tweet is from Colombia and shows off her mom's pets. Of course, the internet has still not forgotten, and replies are littered with references to her past mistakes.
Of course, we'll never know what happens off-stream, but for now, it seems that Alinity has learned her lesson. Truly, if there's one thing the internet loves: it's animals. If a streamer is caught mistreating animals, they can expect to be swiftly mobbed by hoards of angry people. Anonymous users on the internet can certainly cause chaos and spread negativity, but at the very least, Twitch users seem to do a good job holding streamers accountable for their actions.
