Halo Infinite Multiplayer might be a smooth experience in terms of gameplay, but its cosmetic system is confusing beyond words. Fans have expressed their disappointment regarding this unpopular feature, finally eliciting a response from 343 Industries amid the growing unrest.

The studio recently announced a "free" Fracture: Tenrai event that will run for a week, and will keep returning all throughout Season 1. However, there are multiple issues with battle pass, which fans may finally see addressed in-game.

Halo Community Director, Brian Jarrard commented on the situation on Twitter (Thanks, Eurogamer). He said that the team has heard the players’ feedback "loud and clear". However, he also mentions that since the dev team is on a break, changes will take time. On the one hand, it's reassuring to hear that player feedback is actually being considered, and could result in some fundamental changes to the game’s cosmetics system. Yet it does mean we'll have to stick with it a little longer.

Of course, this doesn't fix the issues with the current season either. Players have already expressed their discontent, and are calling the Tenrai event announcement "deceptive and frustrating".

Moreover, the Halo subreddit is full of posts where players complain about the system, saying they feel cheated. One such post even calls on players to not spend any money on microtransactions, saying, "these prices are utterly ridiculous and a blatant smack in the face to those who were told all event armor pieces would be completely free".

Another post mentions how players should be allowed to grind out all 30 tiers of the event pass in one week, rather than progression being gated off. Clearly, there are some major fires 343 has to put out, and the delay is only going to make it worse.

Thankfully, the devs tweaked the battle pass progression almost immediately after players complained about it being too "grindy", so they have one less thing to worry about. Nevertheless, there is a lot of work to be done and 343 will have to pick up the pace as the Halo Infinite Campaign launch is just around the corner.
