Focus Entertainment, formerly known as Focus Home Interactive, has just announced a physical release for the classic stealth adventure, A Plague Tale: Innocence. The kicker here is that it’s not for previous-gen consoles like the PS4 and Xbox One, but for the current generation of Sony and Xbox home entertainment units.

The physical release of A Plague Tale: Innocence comes with exclusive new box art for both the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It includes all the good stuff that was provided in the free update a little while ago, including 4K UHD support, faster load times, 60 fps graphics (with up to 120 fps on Xbox Series X), 3D Audio, and DualSense haptic feedback.

If that’s not quite enough to get you to Focus Entertainment’s website, then there’s also a set of four new pins for Plague Tale fans to collect. For $34.99, you can get all four pins, which contain detailed embossings of characters and symbols from De Rune's history. And there's also a De Rune medallion necklace available too for $19.99.

While A Plague Tale is an undeniable success story for Focus Home, the more recent release of Aeon Must Die! has become mired in controversy after allegations of IP theft, unpaid wages, and terrible work conditions arose from several former devs who worked on the game. Former Limestone employees have accused management and Focus Entertainment of conspiring to steal their game after months of unpaid overtime, to the point where most of the development team left to start their own indie studio.

Unfortunately, the new studio doesn't have the funds to fight a legal battle with Focus, so they've resorted to making their evidence extremely public. Focus and Limestone have denied all wrongdoing.
