The content creator Adriana Chechik recently revealed that she had to end her pregnancy after breaking her back at TwitchCon, held earlier this month in San Diego, California. The streamer apparently discovered that she was in fact pregnant following her admittance to hospital. Chechik suffered the injury while falling backwards into a clearly unsafe foam pit which resulted in subsequent surgery.“Well, I broke my back in two places and am getting surgery to put a meter rod in for support today. Send your support,” Chechik posted on Twitter shortly after the incident. “When it rains it pours and I am definitely feeling the rain right now.”RELATED: Twitch Streamers Need To UnioniseThe streamer went on to make an at least partial recovery, noting with some degree of optimism that “today was so hard, I walked. I passed out after I brushed my teeth and had to be carried back, but baby got her dancing shoes. It was so exhausting, I have slept all day since.” Chechik was in surgery for some five hours in order to reduce the fracture of an unspecified number of bones which had been “completely crushed” in addition to correcting some nerve damage to her bladder.Chechik returned to streaming earlier this week, showing several of her scars and revealing that she was pregnant at the time of her injury. The content creator went on to explain how this pregnancy had to be terminated. “I don’t care, everyone’s going to know, but I was pregnant and I didn’t find out until I was in the hospital,” Chechik told her fans and followers. “I’m not pregnant anymore because of the surgery. I couldn’t keep it. But my hormones are also through the fucking roof because of that.”

When it comes to the scarring suffered on account of the surgery, the streamer was thankful to have escaped relatively unharmed. “I’m out of breath if you can’t tell. I’m already out of breath. I get out of breath holding my phone, everything,” Chechik said about her ongoing recovery. “But they did an amazing job. The stitches were inside.”
