Stranger Things’ third season premiered yesterday on Netflix, and as a result it's on the mind of just about everyone. The show is also dominating the video game industry as well, with the simultaneous release of Stranger Things 3: The Game on consoles and PC.

However, if retro beat ‘em ups aren’t your thing, then it looks like you’ll be able to get your Stranger Things fix through a little game called Fortnite.

The crossover was likely to be coming soon given reports during E3, and furthermore, it appears that every gaming tie-in has come out right alongside the show, demonstrating the effectiveness of Stranger Things' marketing team. The crossover between Fortnite and Stranger Things went into full effect today, with players getting the opportunity to get themselves some Stranger Things inspired rewards.

Chief Hopper, and Demogorgon skins are available to get in Fortnite’s item shop. The Hopper skin will set you back 1500 V-Bucks or $15, while the Demogorgon will go for 1200 V-Bucks or $12. There’s also a gun wrap inspired by the show’s various creepy vines, which costs a cool 500 V-Bucks or $5.

Players started seeing signs of the crossover back on July 3rd, when strange portals started appearing around the island. The portals looked very much like the ones that led to the Upside Down in Stranger Things, complete with weird red vines, and a pulsating orange glow. Of course these portals didn’t send players to another dimension, just to another part of the map.

You can also find the show’s nautical-themed ice cream shop, Scoops Ahoy, in the game’s mall area as well.

Stranger Things joins other pop culture phenomenons like John Wick and The Avengers in getting their own special event in Fortnite. There’s no clearer sign that something has made it to the big time than a crossover with the biggest battle royale game in the business.

The Stranger Things event will run for a limited time, so if you really want these skins, you’ll probably want to get them before they disappear from the store. There is currently no information on whether the event will involve anything more than the skins that have been added in, although getting to shoot people dressed as Demogorgons is probably enough for most people.
