Tabletop games studio Gale Force Nine announced their new Aliens tabletop game this week, and are we excited!

Ridley Scott's Alien movie hit the silver screen in 1979, kickstarting the movie franchise that would see James Cameron's 1986 Aliens movie. Both movies defined the sci-fi horror genre and have influenced pop culture ever since. It is the second movie that is the namesake of the tabletop miniatures game, and that won't come as a surprise to fans. This is the action-centric movie that sees the return of Ellen Ripley. As the lone survivor of the previous Xenomorph encounter aboard the Nostromo, she assists a group of Marines as they attempt to re-establish contact with the remote off-world mining colony, Hadley's Hope. The colony is empty save for a sole survivor, a child named Newt. The rest had been killed by the Xenomorph threat.

Three boxed sets are due for release in October, with Aliens: Another Glorious Day In The Corps as the entry point to the game. The box contents include; 4 double-sided game boards that represent Hadley's Hope, 23 plastic miniatures, tokens, dice, and cards. Of the 23 miniatures, Ripley and Newt are joined by 5 Marines and 16 Xenomorphs.

Expansions set Aliens: Ultimate Badasses adds additional options for fighting the Xenomorphs. As the name suggests you get more badass characters, 6 in total including Burke. You also get rules, dice, and cards.

The final set shares the name with the greatest quote from the movie, Aliens: Get Away From Her, You B***h!, and that is exactly how it spelled. It is a larger expansion than Aliens: Ultimate Badasses and contains 4 new double-sided game boards, rules, tokens, dice, and cards. The five new miniatures include a Xenomorph Queen, Bishop (in bad shape), and a Ripley controlled power loader.

The game is set for release in October and will be available in all good games stores and at the Gale Force Nine web store. Pricing starts at $30 for Aliens: Ultimate Badasses and rises to $60 for both Aliens: Another Glorius Day In The Corps and Aliens: Get Away From Her You B***h!
