Another portal has opened in Fortnite, and it seems as if a Xenomorph from Alien will emerge from it very soon.

Fortnite season four was all about Marvel. Fortnite season five has been about pretty much every franchise that isn't Marvel. Next on the list is Alien. A new portal has opened up on the map today, and Alien fans are convinced it looks like a location from the Alien franchise. If you're still not convinced, turn on the sound in the clip below.

If it looks like Alien and sounds like Alien, it's probably Alien. Or Xenomorph, since that's the name of the creatures which have terrorized so many people in movies and games since the franchise was first introduced in 1979. Odds are a Xenomorph skin will be added to Fortnite in the coming days. However, most who have heard the news have already started to speculate on an epic end-of-season battle.

On the big screen, it was eventually revealed that Xenomorphs and Predators share the same universe. Since Predator has already been added to Fortnite this season, it makes sense that the two of them will clash in a major way before the end of season five. Barring players intruding and trying to take it down, Predator has been kicking back at Stealthy Stronghold. Its idyllic life might be about to come to an end.

While there have been a lot of crossover additions to Fortnite this season, Predator and the seemingly imminent arrival of Xenomorph have been the most surprising. While Fortnite is played by people of all ages, the game is geared towards a younger demographic. Players who have probably never seen the original Alien and Predator movies. That's probably why both franchises are keen to be a part of the Fortnite family.

As for Fortnite, at this point, Epic just seems to want to have a piece of every major franchise in the world under the game's umbrella. Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Stranger Things, even Master Chief, and Kratos are battling side-by-side this season. Fortnite isn't only bringing fans of different consoles and different comics together, it's attempting to bring everyone together. Unless you work for Apple, of course.
