Wow. I never thought I’d see the day where I’d write about an experience that was both incredible yet terrifying for me. I can remember a few years ago when I had to wake up early and travel an hour away because I lived in the middle of nowhere, all for the sake of being one of the first people in line. Waiting took forever. My knees would always shake from exhaustion. And the end result? I was $12.99 poorer all for the sake of an Amiibo.

We nerds are very familiar with Amiibo. And those devoted fans who started collecting them on day one remember the traumatic experiences of hoping the nearest Best Buy, Target, and GameStop had enough Amiibo to go around, especially for you. Thankfully, the Amiibo craziness has wound down, which means that the crazy, early lines are non-existent now. Amiibo still exist, but at least now, Nintendo has the common courtesy to make sure there’s enough to go around.

But like with almost every available product out there, eventually, Amiibo disappear and are only available online. So, I decided to research every current Amiibo that’s out there via Amazon to see what the average selling price is for them. So brace yourself. If you’re tight on money and are considering selling some of your Amiibo, this might be a helpful tool to help you learn which Amiibo are your most valuable. I’m not even kidding when I say that some are currently selling in the triple digits.

30 Boo - Super Mario

via Amazon

Boo was an Amiibo that was released in the second wave of the Super Mario series in late 2016. Of course, he’s very adorable, but since he’s been out for almost two years, you can’t find him in stores anymore. His current value is about $35, which isn’t bad considering the average price of an Amiibo is $13. Boxed versions do retail better, but if you’re someone who has the full Super Mario set but doesn’t want them anymore, Boo is an Amiibo that’ll help bring some light back into your wallet.

29 Captain Falcon - Smash Bros.

via: youtube.com

Captain Falcon was one of the very first amiibo to be released in the “Super Smash Bros.” lineup. Surprisingly, this amiibo is almost four years old already. If you’re extremely lucky, you might find one in the pre-owned section at GameStop. But otherwise, you’ll have to resort to paying about $35 for one on Amazon. Considering the age of the Captain Falcon amiibo, this really isn’t a terrible deal in comparison to other amiibo in the “Smash Bros.” lineup.

28 Mipha - Breath Of The Wild

via Nintendo Wire

Mipha from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild actually isn’t an old Amiibo. She and the other Champions' Amiibo were released in November 2017. And yet, she still retails for about $35 on Amazon. The official Amiibo site says that Mipha can still be purchased at GameStop, Best Buy, Walmart, and Target. But considering that she’s been out for a few months, finding her in a store is pretty doubtful. And if you’re interested in selling your Mipha Amiibo, now might be a good time to do so.

27 Pac-Man - Smash Bros.

via: imgur.com

Okay, but to this day, Pac-Man is still one of my favorite characters to play as in Super Smash Bros. Thankfully, he was also a relatively easy Amiibo to purchase since he wasn’t an exclusive in stores. I can still remember waking up at 5 in the morning just to go buy him and a Charizard Amiibo. Yep, those were the days. Anyway, Pac-Man also retails for about $35 on Amazon, and I believe you might still be able to find him at Walmart stores, too.

26 Rosalina And Luma - Smash Bros.

via Amiibo Wiki - Fandom

For the longest time, I hated Target. I’m from the United States, so the Rosalina and Luma Amiibo was available exclusively at Target. This was before my boyfriend and I knew just how hard it would be to purchase exclusive Amiibo, so we completely missed out on her until we resorted to eBay and spent about $20. Now, she retails for about $35. I still hate my local Target for having a sign with Rosalina on it for a couple years.

25 Sonic - Smash Bros.

via:

Sonic was also a relatively easy Amiibo to purchase. I can still remember being that person who purchased three in stores for my own collection and for friends. I was also a broke college student whose car wasn’t on campus, so I had to cross busy highways just to get to a Best Buy. Hooray. But Sonic also retails for about $35, which I find to be kind of odd since he was very common when he first became available.

24 Guardian - Breath Of The Wild

via: gamespot.com

The Guardian Amiibo from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is also a relatively new figure. Releasing in March 2017, the Guardian Amiibo is quite larger than the other Smash Bros. Amiibo. Occasionally, I’ll still see this Amiibo at my local Best Buy, so this isn’t too rare just yet. But either way, the Amiibo is retailing for about $36 on Amazon. Don’t hesitate to check GameStop and Target for it as well if you’re still in need of this collectible.

23 Donkey Kong - Smash Bros.

via: kotaku.co.au

Donkey Kong was also one of the very first Amiibo in the Super Smash Bros. lineup to be released. I actually got him as a gift for my boyfriend a few months after he released because, at the time, he was still a very common Amiibo. However, unless you find him pre-owned, stores don’t sell this Amiibo anymore. He retails for about $38 online, which isn’t too bad for an Amiibo that’s as old as DK himself. It’s crazy to think about how valuable these older Amiibo really are now.

22 Ganondorf - Smash Bros.

via: twitter.com

Honestly, I still think the Ganondorf Amiibo from Super Smash Bros. is still one of my favorites because of all the elaborate detailing on him. Of course, I am also very biased toward The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, so this version of Ganon is one of my favorites. Like Donkey Kong, the Ganondorf Amiibo retails for about $38, so if you’re willing to pay that much for this small figure, you might want to go ahead and do so.

21 Shovel Knight

via Amazon

The Shovel Knight Amiibo is over two years old now and is next to impossible to purchase at a retail store. Thankfully, there’s three more Amiibo that will be releasing soon in the Shovel Knight franchise for fans to purchase and enjoy. However, if you want to make sure that you’ll have a complete Shovel Knight Amiibo set once the new releases arrive, I strongly suggest you purchase Shovel Knight now at his online price of $38. Compared to some of the others on this list, this is actually a reasonable price.

via: twitter.com

Link is also an Amiibo that was one of the first to release in the Super Smash Bros. line. Similar to Captain Falcon, he’s a bit more expensive online since they’re on the older side. If you’re lucky, you might find this figure in the pre-owned section of GameStop, but your safest bet would be purchasing him online for $39. Even though he is one of the oldest Amiibo, this is a fair price for one that’s been out for almost four years.

19 Lucario - Smash Bros.

via: imgur.com

Lucario was also a nightmare to get when it first released. In February 2015, the Lucario Amiibo was exclusively at Toys R Us upon launch. I guess from now on though, we no longer have to worry about Toys R Us exclusive anything, even though that’s rather sad to think about. Lucario sells online for about $40. This is the part of the list where everything starts to get more pricey, so take that into consideration before you decide how you want to complete your Amiibo collection.

18 Meta Knight - Kirby

via Amazon

Out of the Kirby series amino lineup, Meta Knight is the only one who made this list. For some reason, he’s a bit more difficult to find.

However, if luck is in your favor, you might still find this Amiibo at GameStop or Walmart.

But if you can’t find him in stores, your best bet is to purchase him online, where he retails at about $40. I know that’s rather expensive for a $13 figure, but hey, it is what it is.

17 Wii Fit Trainer - Smash Bros.

via: kotaku.co.au

Now for some reason, my boyfriend and I had the most difficult time finding a Wii Fit trainer Amiibo. Out of any that were released in the first wave for Super Smash Bros., there just wasn’t a lot of stock for everyone, unfortunately.

Thankfully, a kind-hearted person gave us this Amiibo for free.

If you still find yourself in need of her, you’re looking at spending about $40 online, which isn’t too awful. I mean, at least you wouldn’t be spending triple digits, right?

16 Yoshi - Smash Bros.

via: technobuffalo.com

In my area, the Super Smash Bros. Yoshi Amiibo was pretty common when it first released. And yet suddenly, this once common figure now sells for $40 on Amazon. Is it because production more or less stopped after the crazy Amiibo hype went down? I can still remember when Walmart listed Yoshi for less than $10 because they were trying to get rid of their stock. So it’s just shocking to me that suddenly, he’s selling for this much.

15 Daruk - Breath Of The Wild

via: engadget.com

Like Mipha, Daruk is an Amiibo from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild lineup. Though not as detailed as Mipha or Urbosa, he’s a beautiful Amiibo. Even though he’s not quite a year old, he’s selling for about $43 on Amazon.

Depending on where you go and look, the Guardian Amiibo might still be available in retail stores.

But since Amiibo aren’t really as common now, you might be better off just ordering one online for the sake of completing your collection.

14 Marth - Smash Bros.

via: twitter.com

Do you want to know what I really want to say about the Marth Amiibo? Thank goodness for repainted versions. Marth was one of the Super Smash Bros. Amiibo that I missed out on in the first wave, so when he was re-released with a much better repaint, I was honestly glad that I didn’t snag one when he first released. Currently, Marth Amiibo sell on Amazon for about $46, which does make sense since he was one of the first figures to be released nearly four years ago.

13 Alm And Celica - Fire Emblem

via: myfigurecollection.com

Even though I have yet to play a single Fire Emblem game, I’ll admit that Nintendo did an excellent job with sculpting the Fire Emblem Amiibo. Celica and Alm, characters from Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, are sold together in a two-pack set that currently retails for about $47. That’s about $23 per Amiibo, which really isn’t awful in comparison to buying a single Amiibo in that 40 dollar price range. I also know that some GameStop stores do still sell this pack, too.

12 Mario Silver Edition - Super Mario Edition

via: imgur.com

I’ll be honest. I don’t really understand why Nintendo decided to make gold and silver editions of the Mario Amiibo in the Super Mario lineup. What was the point in that?

To make matters worse, the Silver Edition launched exclusively at Walmart in spring 2015.

This three-year-old Amiibo retails for about $48, which isn’t awful considering its rarity, but I know I’m not interested in buying this one. But if this is up your alley, just be grateful that it’s not the more expensive Gold Edition.

11 Ike - Smash Bros.

via: depop.com

Ike was an Amiibo that I knew I needed as soon as I saw it. He’s by far one of my favorite characters to play as in Super Smash Bros., and unlike Marth, his sculpt came out excellently on the first run.

Currently, he retails online for about $50.

Yep. Now we’re getting into the scarier territory where figures that once sold for $13 are now pretty big money makers. If you’re still in need of an Ike, I hope this news doesn’t burn a hole in your wallet.
