Among Us surprised us all by becoming an absolute sensation during the pandemic. And even with pandemic-era restrictions eased, Among Us still has tens of thousands of fans playing it every single day. It remains one of the biggest pandemic success stories, and that success was in no small part due to streamers playing the game on Twitch and YouTube.

One of Among Us’ most ardent supporters is Rachell 'Valkyrae' Hofstetter, who recently celebrated 500 hours picking out Impostors in InnerSloth’s hidden role game.

"HIT 500 HOURS IN AMONG US TODAY LOL," wrote Valkyrae, followed by a smiling tear. It seems like Valkyrae might be a little embarrassed about the number of hours she’s put into Among Us, but 500 hours is nothing to be ashamed of.

InnerSloth noted Valkyrae's accomplishment by calling her an "absolute icon," while fans replied in the comments suggesting creator skins might be a great new addition to Among Us. It wouldn’t be the first time Among Us decided to crossover with other media.

Most recently, Among Us decided to do a crossover with Space Warlord Organ Trading Simulator, a game where you sell bits and pieces of other species to alien clients. A new item called the "bean bone" is basically the lower half of an Among Us crew member after the Impostor is finished with the top half. It's described in-game as "the most delicious organ in the galaxy," which is curious considering it's just a bone sticking out from a pair of legs.

Among us also crossover with Fortnite as a series of backpacks, has inspired a ton of mods (including this one which replaces Mass Effect's Reapers with crew members), and was even a question on Jeopardy.

And it shows no sign of slowing down. Among Us will make the difficult journey from reality to virtual reality thanks to Among Us VR, which is tentatively scheduled to release later this year (although we still don’t have a firm date on that yet).
