If I were to be browsing the AndaSeat website, the T-Pro 2 Series would undoubtedly stick out to me as the top tier gaming chair available. Of course, calling the T-Pro 2 strictly a “gaming chair” may be a bit misleading, especially considering that AndaSeat’s branding states that the chair is well-suited both “For Game, [and] For Work.” I would still, however, place the T-Pro 2 more in the gaming chair camp than I would a work chair. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, though, especially if you’re looking for a comfortable gaming that will prevent fatigue during long gaming sessions.

The T-Pro 2 comes with everything you might expect in a gaming chair:

  • Andaseat T-Pro 2 XL backrest
  • Andaseat T-Pro 2 XL seatbase
  • XL Aluminium five star base
  • Screw kit
  • M Head pillow
  • XL Lumbar pillow
  • Heavy duty class 4 hydraulic piston
  • Dust cover
  • Side covers
  • XL heavy duty Multi-functional tilt mechanism
  • Armrests
  • XL Universal Casters

The chair also comes with many, if not all of the features that AndaSeat is known for, including an ergonomic “AD Design”, the AndaSeat 5-Star Aluminum base, reclining back, and adjustable armrests. However, it’s the details that puts the T-Pro 2 Series into the upper echelon of AndaSeat’s suite of chairs.

The chair is lined with AD Alpha Linen Fabric, which is incredibly comfortable. Coupled with the extra-wide seat cushion, the T-Pro 2 is about as comfortable as you can get without actually sitting down on a couch. In fact, referring to the T-Pro 2 as a lounging chair or recliner might be more accurate. It’s one of those types of chairs that is great for sitting back and watching a movie (or perhaps while playing a cut scene-laden video game). Obviously, you can play more intense games while sitting in the chair, like an online FPS, but it just feels like the T-Pro 2 was meant to be relaxed in.

I’ve stated before that I’m not a big fan of lumbar support pillows because they are usually either too awkward and bulky or just not good enough to provide quality support. The T-Pro 2’s lumbar pillow, however, is highly effective in providing both comfort and support while sitting in the chair for hours at a time. In fact, after using the pillow initially, I attempted to use the chair without it, before promptly putting it back into place. Maybe lumbar support pillow technology for gaming chairs is finally getting better. Or, maybe the T-Pro 2’s pillow is just that damn good.

I only ran into one major flaw in the chair’s design, which had to do with its hardware. The screw holes where the backrest attaches to the base didn’t line up very well on one of the sides. I’ve run into this issue before, which generally results in adjusting the holes with a little give and take on both sides to allow the screws to securely screw in, even if just a little crooked. I figured I could apply the same technique here, but no such luck. Even though my force was minimal, the screw easily snapped in half. I tried it with a second screw and ended up with the same result. I fought with it for a good 30 minutes before deciding to head to the hardware store for the same type of screw to see if it would work. Lo and behold, it went in just fine. It seems as though the quality of the factory screws themselves aren’t the best. So, if you run into a similar issue with your (or any) chair, replacing the screws might be your best solution.

Aside from the screw issue, the T-Pro 2 is one of the loungiest gaming chairs that I’ve come across. It’s a great way to kick back after a long day while playing your favorite games. Just don’t be surprised if its recliner-level comfort is enough to put you to sleep mid-match.
