Andrew Garfield has said he is unaware if he is a part of Spider-Man: No Way Home, adding that it doesn't really matter what he says between now and its release.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to be one of the biggest movies in the MCU so far. Rumors and leaks that non-MCU characters from Spidey's past were confirmed when its first trailer eventually dropped. Doctor Octopus made a cameo appearance, and there was even confirmation that the Green Goblin will be back for the first time since the Tobey Maguire movies.

Speaking of Maguire, there is still no official word on whether he and other former Spider-Man Andrew Garfield will be a part of the movie. Garfield recently sat down with Variety to talk about other upcoming projects but was once again asked about No Way Home. As you might expect, the actor still didn't offer up a concrete answer.

In Garfield's defense, it doesn't matter what he says at this point, something he ackowledged when asked about his potential inclusion in the MCU yet again. “No matter what I say, I’m fucked. It’s either going to be really disappointing for people or it’s going to be really exciting,” Garfield said. Even though he continues to deny he will be in No Way Home, no one is going to believe him until they see the evidence for themselves.

One comment made by Garfield in response to the No Way Home rumors was a little confusing. “It’s important for me to say on the record that this is not something I’m aware I am involved in,” were his exact words. It's unclear what Garfield means by that. How he could be used in a movie that will hit theaters before the end of the year without being aware of it. Odds are the comment was an intentionally ambiguous and confusing one.

Disney has already started to bust the multiverse wide open via Loki and then Shang-Chi. Sony will get in on the fun when No Way Home hits theaters on December 17. Speaking of Shang-Chi, Sony, Marvel, and Disney will be incredibly happy with how the movie performed during its opening weekend. A great indicator that No Way Home will do very big numbers later this year.
