Andy Milonakis has apologized for previous comments he made about fellow Twitch streamer Chance "Sodapoppin" Morris. A clip of Milonakis was recently featured in a YouTube documentary by theScore esports chronicling the rise and career of Sodapoppin.

In the clip, Milonakis described his first impression of Sodapoppin shortly after he himself had begun streaming on Twitch.

"To me, what I watched of Sodapoppin, he came off as like a super pompous, self-important douchebag," Milonakis said.

A clip of Sodapoppin reacting to Milonakis' description was posted to the r/livestreamfail subreddit where Milonakis himself took the opportunity to apologize.

"I really like Soda," he wrote. "That clip was from about 2 1/2 years ago when i started to do twitch full time, I was drunk and I don't know if chat was asking me what I thought about certain streamers or if i was just doing a stupid drunken rant but either way it was an asshole move on my part. Sorry Soda popper."

The 20-minute deep dive video was uploaded last month and has seen reactions from other streamers like xQc, Pokelawls and more. Sodapoppin watched the video on-stream this week after returning from a short hiatus.

His reaction to the blunt characterization was a simple "ouch" before appearing to laugh off any controversy. As outlined in the video, Sodopoppin's success on Twitch has long been bolstered not only by early notoriety as a top World of Warcraft player but also as a free-flowing, anything-goes variety and IRL streamer.

In response to Milonakis only apologizing in light of the clip appearing in the recent documentary, the streamer also wrote that he had previously apologized to Sodapoppin personally for any "shit" talked in his early streaming days. Despite the warning, the documentary appears to be Sodapoppin's first viewing of such criticisms.

"(Sodapoppin) didn't happen to try to dig up the video because he probably didn't really give a fuck," he wrote.

Milonakis is most known for creating and staring in The Andy Milonakis Show, which aired on MTV between 2005 and 2007. Since beginning a career on Twitch, his channel has mostly featured IRL broadcasts and roleplaying in games like ARMA 3 and Grand Theft Auto V's popular NoPixel server.
