Out of the blue, Nintendo of America and Build-A-Bear have announced that the upcoming Animal Crossing: New Horizons-inspired collection of stuffed toys will be launching on April 6, 2021. You didn't read that incorrectly: the line of cute, cuddly creatures based on Nintendo's massively popular series is coming to stores tomorrow. Who's in the lineup? Like Nintendo would actually reveal details.

If you were eagerly anticipating more information before grabbing one of these bears, think again! You'll need to rush on over to your local mall or Build-A-Bear and brave the wilds to grab...something! No one knows what that something is, but it's certainly coming. You can at least sign-up for updates on when the collection is officially available near you, but it's pretty odd for Nintendo to shadow drop what is a retail line of toys.

Fans of Animal Crossing probably know what to expect. It wouldn't make sense to have stuffed animals and not include series icons Tom Nook, Isabelle, and K.K. Slider. There may possibly be Timmy and Tommy plushes, which are sure to be adorable. Add in a clothing line for your pre-existing bears and some accessories and it makes sense why Build-A-Bear got in on this deal. It's too good to pass up.

It just figures that Nintendo wouldn't prepare anyone for the launch. You can't even pre-order a bear, meaning these are likely to sell out quickly and get turned around for outrageous prices. I wouldn't even bother with going to the Build-A-Bear website, but if it's your only option, don't wait.
