Fast food chains collaborating with Animal Crossing: New Horizons? It's more likely than you think.
First, it was Kentucky Fried Chicken, who opened a fully functioning restaurant in the virtual island world back in June. And now, it looks like the golden arches of McDonald's have decided to join in the fun.
The fast-food company recently released some officially licensed custom QR codes that will allow your villagers to look just like McDonald's employees. Here are all the available codes, as well as a quick guide on how to transfer them to the game.
First up is this simple red t-shirt design featuring the signature Happy Meal pattern on it.
Next is a light blue t-shirt that pays homage to McDonald's delicious ice cream cones (and possibly to its infamous ice cream machine as well). There's even a tiny "M" logo in the corner, just so everyone knows who you're representing.
If you've ever had the desire to dress your villager up like a Big Mac hamburger, then you're also in luck. McDonald's has created a custom code that gives you the look of a delicious hamburger, filled with two patties, lettuce, and cheese.
There's also this adorable Sesame Seed hat that is wholly necessary to complete your Big Mac-inspired look.
Finally, who could forget about McDonald's signature french fries? To show off your love for those yummy golden potato sticks, why not try sporting this t-shirt inspired by the design of a McDonald's french fry holder?
If you're interested in using these codes in your Animal Crossing: New Horizons playthrough, you'll need to link your real-life smartphone with your NookPhone in the game. This will allow you to use your IRL phone to scan the QR codes and transfer it to your villager's NookPhone. To do this, you'll need a Nintendo Switch Online account.
