If you're anything like us, you're lost deep in Animal Crossing: New Horizons this weekend. And if you've been playing, odds are that you've already rubbing up against that classic problem of any survival game: inventory space. Lucky for you, there's something you might have overlooked early on that'll save your bacon.

Save Up Your Nook Miles

The first and most important thing you want to do is save up those Nook Miles. That means doing challenges in the Nook Miles app at every chance you get. The smart move is to make sure you have the Nook Miles + app so you're getting a constant influx of easy challenges to complete. Grind those out until you have 5,000 Bells, which is what you'll need to upgrade your storage.

Hit Up The Nook Stop

Next, head over the island square and visit Tom Nook's tent. Ignore everyone in there for now and turn your focus over to the Nook Stop terminal. Click into it, then hit the very first thing at the top of the menu - Redeem Nook Miles. In there, you'll find what you need.

Buy The Pocket Organization Guide

In the list of various goodies you can buy at the terminal, you'll see the Pocket Organization Guide. This is exactly what you'll want. It may seem expensive at first, but we promise it'll be worth it. Maybe you can't get those new haircuts for a little while longer, but being able to load your villager down with even more loot is more than worth it.

With the Pocket Organization Guide, you'll be able to pocket up to thirty items at any given time. This is a huge boon, as it gives you space to carry every possible tool you'll need, plus whatever loot you stash along the way. It's quite the handy upgrade, and definitively one of the very first things you should buy with your Nook Miles.

That about does it! Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a lot easier to manage when you're able to actually pick stuff up without worrying too much about being strapped for space. Now you can load your pockets down with critters to hand off to Blathers - or just sell for Bells!
