Of the eight services possible to unlock on Harv's island, only five are your typical shop. Animal Crossing introduced a group of beloved NPCs from games past by opening up Harvey's private island as a shopping plaza.

One service is an often chance, while the other seven co-ops cost 100,000 Bells each to get going - this list will help you decide who to invite first.

8 Harriet The Hippie Hairstylist

When you first arrive at Harv's island after receiving his letter you will find him and Harriet chatting away in the plaza. Harriet has been featured in many previous games, often in her own posh pooch parlor. In New Horizons though she has thrown off the shackles of capitalism to join Harvey's dream, and offers free hairstyling on random days.

There are seven exclusive new looks that will become available at any mirror once Harriet has tried it out on you. Another four are possible outcomes from her experiments but they can be bought in the Top 4 Fab Hairstyles pack for Nook Miles. Harriet is the only co-op that doesn't need fundraising but some days she's too busy jamming out on the tambourine to freshen up your 'do.

7 Tortimer's Storage System

Previous players of the Animal Crossing series will be very familiar with the old mayor Tortimer, though no one seems to recall any elections... Anyway, he's back, with possibly the most useless service in the co-op. He's here to give you quick access to your home storage in case you forgot something you wanted Cyrus to customize.

And of course, in autumn he turns into his alter ego, Cornimer, and will offer the player ten acorns. Whether that's worth 100,000 Bells is up to you but for now, it's just nice to have him here again (if not his cool Tortimer Island).

6 Kicks' Accessories Are Totally Unique

The shoeshine skunk from old London can be part of the co-op for another 100,000 Bells. Whereas the Able sisters offer full outfits, hats, and accessories, Kicks has a smaller selection to peruse, selling only bags, socks, and shoes. On top of this, like all other shops in the plaza, his inventory only changes once per week.

So why bother shelling out for him at all? Well, most of his stock is completely exclusive to him, including every color variant. There are 14 unique socks, 24 shoes, and 28 bag types to pick up at Kicks' store if you're a collector of clothing.

5 Saharah's Not-So-Mysterious Wallpaper

Sahara's usual system of blindly buying wallpaper and rugs isn't an issue on Harv's island, and tickets aren't of use either. Paying for her set up at the plaza is more advisable than the previous entries as her wares are now on display. You don't need to go through the hassle of buying three random rugs just to unlock a single mysterious wallpaper or flooring either.

Saharah will still visit your island randomly throughout the week with new stock, but her inventory at Harv's only refreshes weekly. Unsurprisingly, she won't be sitting at her trailer if she is wandering your island.

4 Katrina's Fortunes Can Help Or Hinder

ACNH Katrina At Harv's Island Smiling Close Up

Katrina's trailer is middling in this list as she can provide the player with some serious boons, but as is the case with fate and fortunes, it's totally random. Paying for her arrival at Harv's, from 5am to 1am, is the only way to access Katrina in this Animal Crossing game, and she offers two main services.

The player can request their daily luck which is presented within one of four categories: Belongings, Bells, Health, and Friendship. There is good or bad luck for one of these areas of your life in the game, and knowing what it means can significantly help your playthrough. Her other service involves entering the mind of a specific villager on your island and helping you to befriend them. If there's a photo you desperately want from your favorite NPC then this is worth trying.

Finally, if you don't like what your fate holds Katrina offers to purify your character and change your luck for a hefty price. All in all, Katrina is a useful addition to the plaza.

3 Happy Little Leif

With the addition to Harvey's island comes the ability to farm and cook as well. Who else would be there to sell us crops if not Leif? The sweet sloth's stock has increased and he now also sells potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, wheat, and sugar cane starts, and pumpkins as before. Due to the revolving crops, he places high on this ranked list of co-ops.

Leif still has bush starts and flower seeds, and as mentioned before, this stock changes weekly. However, the plants he brings to your island every now and then will be different from what's available at Harv's, so be sure to check out his stand near Resident Services. He also offers a couple of services involving weeds. He will buy them (20 Bells each) for twice the price Timmy and Tommy pay, making weeding your island fairly profitable. Leif offers to weed your whole island himself too if you're coming back to the game after a few months' hiatus.

2 Redd Has A Raffle Now

We all know this wily fox who turns up with an assortment of "art" on his rickety junk boat and sets sail before you have a chance to say "Hey, I want a refund!" Against his better judgment, he has settled down at Harvey's request, and sells questionable pieces of history to visitors. There are only two items available every week and they will still be shipped to you in the mail the next day.

What makes the investment worth it is the addition of a gambling game. The player can pick out a ticket for a small prize, ranging from a Peachy-Pink Folding Fan to a Matcha Donut to a Colorful Light Stick. These items can be held by the player, similarly to when villagers interact with a refreshing can of soda, as well as placed to finish a picnic area, or a waiting room scene for example. On top of this, the food items can be eaten to give power for smashing Rocks to bits, or digging up whole trees. A bite of Ramune Soda Lemon Cone packs a punch.

1 Cyrus's Expanded Customization

A Screenshot From Animal Crossing Gameplay Showing The Gazebo Item Being Customised By NPC Cyrus.

Possibly the most anticipated and welcome plaza participant is Cyrus and his customizing skills. No longer do hoarding players need to catalog every single color of every single item by traveling to distant islands. Cyrus can be given almost any item (including some not otherwise customizable) as well as a few thousand Bells to redecorate it in entirely new ways. There are even unique designs not available to purchase from Nook's Cranny, such as rusty or old-looking versions.

As in New Leaf, Reese is basically there to look cute and fawn over her Cy-Guy, but don't worry! Their June wedding celebrations will take place as usual at Phototopia to continue collecting their adorable furniture set. If you do unlock Cyrus and Reese first then Tortimer isn't a bad second option for easy storage access and bulk customization.

This list isn't going to be ideal for everyone, and it depends on individual playstyle. But due to the slow pace and six-figure price tag of unlocking each one, this order of co-operatives is going to be helpful for most players. At the end of the day, the plaza is just a hip place to chillax with our groovy pal Harv.
