A dataminer has discovered the secret behind what kind of art your villagers will send you in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Players have likely already had a villager randomly send them art in the mail, but Twitter user and New Horizons dataminer @_Ninji has narrowed down which art pieces you can get and from whom. According to them, villagers with the Jock and Lazy personality can send any art piece, real or fake. Smug villagers will only ever send fake art pieces, and Cranky villagers can send real or fake sculptures but never paintings.

For folks who really want to finish the museum’s art exhibit, Ninji recently explained the chances of getting a real art piece from Crazy Redd. Crazy Redd sells four art pieces every time he shows up, with four possible outcomes: a ten percent chance of having one fake art piece and three authentic ones, a ten percent chance of having all fake pieces, a 30 percent chance of having two fake pieces and two real ones, and a 50 percent chance of having three fake pieces and one real piece.

As of right now, gambling with Crazy Redd's stock and randomly receiving art from villagers are the only legitimate ways to fill the museum's art exhibit. With rates like these, it may be a long while yet before players can truly call their museum collection complete.
