Animal Crossing: New Horizons has just received an expansion in the form of the Happy Home Paradise DLC. This new content adds a whole new area that you can visit where you can design vacation homes for animals in a similar fashion to the Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer 3DS game.

Each Vacation Home Adds To Your Furniture Catalog
When you first start designing vacation homes, you'll quickly learn that your clients will want two to three specific items that you must include — you can't complete a design without using these — then the catalog will offer a selection of other items that would also fit with the design theme the client has requested.
You also have access to more furniture items, but to begin with, this section of the catalog will be rather sparse. However, each vacation home you design will add a range of furnishings and outfits to your catalog, so the more homes you design, the bigger the selection you have. Keep this in mind, as even if you don't want a particular client having a vacation home in the archipelago, you might want the themed furnishings they will add to your catalog.
Additional Features Unlock As You Progress
If you watched any of the trailers for Happy Home Paradise before playing, you might wonder when you can get to grips with some of the additional features such as polishing, designing facilities, partition walls, ambient sounds, and more.
Worry not! You will gradually unlock all of these goodies as you hit certain design milestones. For example, you will unlock the basic polishing feature while doing your fifth vacation home.
You Can Pick The Same Vacation Spot For More Than One Villager
Worried that you've just met a client and their perfect vacation home would be somewhere where you have already housed someone else? Don't worry! You can place more than one vacation home at any given spot on the map.
The houses do not appear next to each other in the same space but are instead multiple versions of the same area. So if you have a small island spot, each villager you place there has their own small island, rather than more than one house on the same island.
Quick And Easy Way To Earn Poki
When it comes to Happy Home Paradise, you'll be dealing in Poki, not Bells. Everything you can buy from the Paradise Planning office and all of your wages deal in Poki currency. While your wages will get regular pay rises, if you are buying quite a few items from the office store, you might find yourself a little short when it comes to Poki.
Fortunately, you can easily earn some Poki by visiting a vacation house you have already designed, asking to remodel it, then "completing" it immediately without making any changes. Despite not actually making any changes, you'll still get paid for remodeling the house. Rinse and repeat as needed.
Tourists And Poki Items Change Every Day
Speaking of the Paradise Planning office store, the items on sale change every day. That means if you see something you like, you should purchase it right away to avoid missing out. Additionally, the tourist villagers on the beach requesting vacation homes change every day too.
So, if you want to ensure you have a particular villager move into a vacation home or you want to get the themed items they offer, make sure you build them a vacation home on the day that you see them. It's worth running up to each villager on the beach every day (while in your work uniform) to see which themes they offer in their little thought bubbles.
You Get New Uniform Options As You Progress
When you first arrive at the Paradise Planning office to start your new job, you will be prompted to choose your uniform. This is the outfit you will automatically change into whenever you start working.
As you progress through the Happy Home Paradise content, you will unlock more and more uniform options that you can use if you wish to. You can edit your uniform by interacting with the locker upstairs in the office whenever you want to. You'll also be given the opportunity to change whenever new uniform options unlock.
Paradise Planning Office Has Everything You Need
Hopping back and forth from your island to the archipelago to move items or change your outfit would be a bit tiresome, but fortunately, the Paradise Planning office has everything you need (or at least, it eventually does).
Upstairs, you can find a locker to change your uniform, normal clothing, and wand outfits, you can access your home's storage from the cupboard, you can change your appearance in the mirror, and you'll eventually unlock a crafting table up here too.
