Animal Crossing: New Horizons, overall, is a great Nintendo Switch title that blends simple gameplay mechanics with hyper-detailed elements of custom designs, furniture placements, and item creations. It's simplistic, but it doesn't have to be anything more — it just works. Yet, the game isn't without its flaws, and one of its biggest flaws involves the game's crafting system which is frustrating for multiple reasons, including the inability to craft in bulk.

The normal situation goes as such — you've found the materials needed to craft a desired item, be it an aesthetically pleasing piece of furniture or a handy tool. So, you go back, make it, put it in your inventory, and head out to perform everyday chores only to have a tool break. And, lo and behold, the tool breaks and you've made no extras due to a shortage of resources or, wouldn't you know, the lack of a bulk construction system.

This isn't the most pressing issue of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. That would either belong to some cloud save-related components or the functionality of the crafting system overall. But, if you're going to include a crafting system, it would be helpful to add the ability to craft in bulk. Especially items that are vital to the Animal Crossing: New Horizons experience.

With a crafting system, one could theoretically make five fishing poles at once given they have the necessary materials (25 tree branches). Sure, the collecting is a bit of a nuisance, but it's less of a nuisance (and more fun to navigate) than to have to re-initiate the act of crafting over and over again.

With pieces of furniture, this isn't such a big deal because house design is rarely conducive to two or more of the same exact furniture. Even so, it would be nice to select multiple items you have materials for and craft all of them at once.

And, as a final note, it would be great if the workbench allowed players to access their storage. That way, you could leave larger, house-related items there while carrying around more practical items. There's a lot of inventory space as it is, but it's always great to have more as many RPGs have taught us.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons isn't a flawless game. While a cathartic joyride, its crafting system can be a bit clunky at times, so if it's going to exist, it would be nice to create items in bulk all at once. Theoretically, this could save a lot of time if you're needing to craft a ton of items.
