Animal Crossing: New Horizons has brought a huge amount of new and old adorable villagers to the Nintendo Switch. All sorts of different faces, animals, and personalities all can come live on your island, and everyone is bound to have a personal favorite that they admire most.
When deciding which ones to invite to your island, it’s important to think about which villager might represent you the most, and the best way to do that is to seek the one that best fits your astrological sign. Here are the villagers that will embody your zodiac for you, to help you consider who you should seek for your island.
12 Aries (March 21 - April 19): Dom
An Aries is an admirable combination of brave and reckless. They want to jump cliffs without even checking how far the drop is, and even though you worry about them they’re undoubtedly living their best lives as they leap forward through life.
Few sheep in Animal Crossing match the boldness of Dom, who has one of the pinkest coats of wool matched with an even louder rainbow shirt. His appearance is just as loud as his bright expressive face and like any Aries that high energy is admirable, even if it makes him seem a little silly from time to time.
11 Taurus (April 20 - May 20): Coach
Their horns make them unable to see things to their sides, but the most dangerous part of a Taurus is how aggressive they can be as they march forward. They can be unsettlingly firm with their stances to an unsettling degree, and often have trouble being conscientious of other people’s thoughts.
The fitness-obsessed bull Coach fits that identity perfectly, looking like an unshaven high school sports star who hasn’t changed his clothes in ten years. Loving athletics is never inherently malicious, but Coach’s intimidating appearance can only come with an angry rant if you ever disagree with his Wrestlemania predictions.
10 Gemini (May 21 - June 20): Pietro
This constellation is associated with having multiple personalities, with typical Geminis switching between one face to another depending on the situation they’re in. On one hand, this makes them fun to go out with, but their changing personas can make them exhausting to be friends with.
His birthday may lie on April 20th, but there’s no villager as duplicitous and untrustworthy as Pietro. This unemployed sheep wears clown makeup at all times to mask his emotions, keeping his true face hidden from the island and your fellow villagers. As long as he wears that paint you’ll never know what kind of person he is deep down.
9 Cancer (June 21 - July 22): Dizzy
While Geminis might be variant in personality, Cancers can be just as variant with their mood. Like the tides of the oceans, these crabs can go from eccentric to low in an instant, with their productivity and social energy moving just as rapidly.
Dizzy is an elephant who’s perpetually drifting back and forth just as intensely, wearing a massive peppy smile on one side of his face despite his lazy and laid back personality. He might be pleasant to visit at his colorful home, but the changing nature of his mood makes him hard to rely on.
8 Leo (July 23 - August 22): Leopold
Leos are typically some of the most confident people on the planet. Their self-esteem is unmatched, and even though they tend to be sensitive to criticism they can always get back on their feet.
The smug Leopold’s goal in life is to be a professor, and he's clearly aiming to manifest his dream into reality by dressing for the part with his formal clothes and reading glasses. He might lack employment opportunities on your island, but this know-it-all knows who he wants to be and isn’t shy about acting like it.
7 Virgo (August 23 - September 22): Ankha
Virgos are the ultimate perfectionists, needing their house and life to be as clean and presentable as ever. They strive to have everything in its place, which makes for both an incredibly glamorous appearance while also being a completely chaotic friend and roommate.
Ankha strives for that perfect lifestyle, resembling an ancient pharaoh and acting just as royal as a genuine queen. She has big dreams of being an astronaut and expensive tastes in the form of ancient tomb furniture, and it’s easy to be envious of her style. Unfortunately, that fanciness most likely comes from a place of insecurity than confidence.
6 Libra (September 23 - October 22): Goose
The biggest burden that Libras carry is indecisiveness, as they have to consider every option in life with an unnecessary degree of caution. While this can lead them to success, it can just as easily keep them up at night, feeling concerned whether they made the right choices through the day.
Goose the chicken is pure uncertainty, having a name of a completely different species. This doesn’t stop him from living a full and happy life, but it’s clear from his unsettlingly wide and angry eyes show that he’s clearly lost a lot of sleep over his lifetime.
5 Scorpio (October 23 - November 21): Eugene
People can often think of Scorpios as backstabbers, but the reality is just that they take everything a little too seriously. Every emotion they feel is a little more intense, and when they want to feel good about themselves they can sometimes take it a little too far.
This is hardly a bad thing, though, and Eugene proves that brilliantly. This Fonzie look-alike is too cool for school, taking his musical aspirations and bringing it to life with a fitting leather jacket and aviator shades. He’s ready for a record deal and is excited to live his dream life, even if he could stand to be a little more patient for it.
4 Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21): Sprocket
A Sagittarius is able to bounce between situations like an archer, firing fast to new places and new friendships. But unlike Geminis who do this out of enthusiasm, this sign simply has trouble sitting still and is ready to move any time he gets bored or uncomfortable in one spot.
The villager who fits this is undoubtedly one that’s jumped between several Animal Crossing games, and long-time villager Sprocket has been showing up since the days of the Gamecube. His uniquely green and mechanical appearance is something he’s proud of, and has always been happy to share with the world.
3 Capricorn (December 22 - January 19): Raymond
While many other signs are intimidating, Capricorns are a much more understated sign when it comes to serious ambition. They want to be right at the top of the social hierarchy and are willing to tear anyone down to get it.
The fanciful cat Raymond resembles this more than any other villager, dressing like an office manager who’ll fire anyone for the slightest mistake. He seems like he could run a clean and successful business, but with his grumpy scowl and formal appearance, you don’t want to know what he’s willing to do to keep things running.
2 Aquarius (January 20 - February 18): Genji
Alternately to a Capricorn, an Aquarius is a firm goal-setter that values success more than fame. They might shove their emotions to the side a little too often, but they know what matters most in life and just want to do the best job they can.
The most fitting villager for this sign is undoubtedly Genji, the least jovial rabbit you’ll see in your life. He’s a jock at heart and far from unemotional, but has an immensely serious facial expression besides his glowing pink cheeks. He’s still plenty adorable, but is a huge step away from the enthusiastic bunnies that can show up on your island.
1 Pisces (February 19 - March 20): Lily
Rather than an emotionally swaying Cancer, a Pisces will use their emotional flexibility in a much more positive form. They can be a tad sensitive at times, but when they’re feeling strong they can be incredibly supportive and caring.
An aquatic sign deserves an aquatic animal, and Lily is just the one who anyone can trust with opening up about their feelings. This pastel toad is an immediate best friend to anyone who needs one, carrying an infectious smile and beady eyes that are ready to smile with you while you talk about everything on your mind.
