File this one under "I'm screaming and throwing money at my screen, but nothing's happening."

Folks. Nintendo keeps finding new and inventive ways to separate this girl from her money, and today, they hit the jackpot. My favorite system of all time, the Nintendo Switch, has (predictably) crossed over with my most anticipated game of 2020, Animal Crossing: New Horizons. And y'all. It's the best thing I've laid my eyes on in a hot second.

First things first, take a look at that color scheme. So clean. So pristine. So subdued. It's stylish and chic and I love it so much. And let's not ignore that nice cream color on those weird little plastic strips that nobody except for me connects to their JoyCons.

Then there's the Switch itself. The back design features different parts a town, like a campsite, some stores, and an idyllic beach. There are even some little animal friends there! It's kinda messed up, because it's basically a functionally useless map considering no two towns will look the same, but I'll let it slide considering how detailed and cute it is.

Last but not least, there's that dock. That cute little dock with vaporwave colors, featuring Tom "You Owe Me Your Soul" Nook and his precious little hellspawn-in-training. Honestly, I would've gone with Isabelle, but hey. It's still cute. It's still good. I'm still going to buy the heck out of it.

Speaking of buying it, you can preorder this baby right now at Best Buy. It'll likely be available elsewhere soon, if you have some axe to grind against Best Buy for some reason, and it retails for $299.99. It's worth noting that this is the nice, snazzy Switch model with an upgraded battery life, so if you've been holding off from upgrading, this might be enough to get you to make the switch.

Heh. "Switch."

The Animal Crossing: New Horizons Switch will launch with the game in March. It doesn't look like it actually comes with the game, which is a bummer, but hey - kind of appropriate, considering it being emblazoned with the franchise's signature money grubber and all.
