Animal Crossing: New Horizons is about to get yet another crossover to spice up the island life for residents. The Sanrio Collaboration Pack is coming to the life sim, and it will be available to pick up from Target on March 26.

The Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser announced last year that the Switch game’s frequent updates would continue throughout 2021 - an effort to combat the game’s drop in sales towards the latter half of last year. Animal Crossing fans have certainly been spoiled for choice within this sea of regular updates, and islanders have been waiting for the Sanrio collection to drop after Nintendo announced that it would re-release its crossover pack.

The Sanrio Collaboration Pack features various cards to spruce up your style, fill out your pockets with new items, and introduce new residents. The pack will contain all six cards, including themed items from Sanrio’s Hello Kitty, My Melody, and Keroppi. The pack will cost you $5.99 - which is nothing compared to the extortionate amount of bells you have to produce for other items - and will be a step up from the game’s previous crossover with Sanrio back in 2019 for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.

A collection of Sanrio items also appeared back in 2016 for Animal Crossing: New Leaf, however, fans in the west were subject to limited availability, as the crossover pack was only widely distributed in Japan. A set of six amiibo cards were released during this initial crossover, where Rilla, Marty, Etoile, Chai, Chelsea, and Toby were all included. In New Leaf, once the cards had been scanned, various Sanrio posters would appear on the walls, but now, you’ll be able to see Toby’s lavish decor - including a Japanese-styled living room complete with his own bridge.

Another crossover with a treasured Nintendo franchise arrived with the life sim’s Update 1.8. Super Mario items have appeared in-game - available to order from Nook Shopping now - including themed outfits, a gifted Mushroom Mural wallpaper, and themed furniture. One of the highlights of this crossover, however, are the fully-functional warp pipes, which allow you to cross rivers, get to higher ground, and traverse down slopes with ease.
