EA has announced that the Apex Legends Autumn Circuit esports competitions will feature a prize pool of $500K. Starting October 3, the Autumn Circuit will hold regional tournaments throughout the fall. The tournament will culminate on December 20 following the playoffs.

The Autumn Circuit arrives on the heels of the Summer Circuit, which is currently wrapping up. An indisputable success, the tournament has drawn over 2,000 teams to the competition, all vying for a spot in the Summer Circuit Playoffs, which start on September 12, according to ALGS Commissioner, John Nelson.

ALGS has been keenly following the tournament to ensure player feedback is taken into account for future tournaments. Apex Legends' competitive gaming currently boasts 80 teams from more than 25 countries that will compete in the playoffs this coming weekend.

Earlier this year all Apex Legends esports activities were moved online in light of the coronavirus pandemic, therefore, the Autumn Circuit will be divided into several regions. Despite the changes, organizers have pledged $3 million in prize money for 2020. ALGS has also created an entirely cloud-based production system that was implemented in March.

Crazy Raccoon, DeToNator, EXO Clan, Gambit Esports, Lava City Boys, Millions Gaming, MiTH Team 1, and Team SoloMid have stood out during the Summer Circuit so it remains to be seen if they can maintain the momentum during the Autumn Circuit.

Based on the feedback received during the Summer Circuit, organizers have made several changes. Going forward, all Regional and Super Regional Finals will have six games, with the exception of the Playoffs, which use the Match Point format.

The Super Regional Playoffs will be divided into the following regions: EMEA - Europe, Middle East & Africa, Americas - North America, South America, APAC South - Greater Southeast Asia, Australia & New Zealand, and APAC North - Japan, Korea.

The Autumn Circuit kicks off soon. To compete, Week 1’s Regional tournaments begin on October 3, with registration beginning on September 22. Registration is open to all eligible players who have achieved Gold IV Rank on PC, in Series 5 Split 1, by 12 PM PT on October 1. Register here.
