Apex Legends is currently running its Monsters Within event for Halloween. Players will be able to score some spooky cosmetics for their Legends and battle it out on a new map. However, the scariest thing about the game right now is that it crashes if you pull off too many animated poses.

Respawn added a bunch of animated epic poses to the game which have reportedly been causing the game to crash. Fortunately they are unequipable, so the devs have put up an in-game message asking players to refrain from using them as of now. A fix has also been scheduled to arrive with an update sometime this week.

Respawn is currently investigation the issue and even commented on one player's complaint on Reddit. "There's no obvious reason - looking at the code - why epic (animated) banner poses should trigger this more often - I never saw this bug in testing, nor did QA, but I know the bug is happening," said RobotHavGunz. "And I can definitely believe this post - that epic banner poses are triggering this more often, because the bug is with a safeguard to make sure we don't try to run a pose on a character for which it doesn't apply."

A new team has joined the Apex Legends esports scene. MaTaFe, Silta, and Horizxon have been signed by David Beckham's Guild Esports and will be in action at the currently ongoing Apex Legends Global Series. The team was revealed in the middle of a stream by MeTaFe, who swapped his usual red headband for one with the Guild Esports logo on it.

Back to the scary side of things, Apex Legends' Monsters Within event will take players to Boreas, the homeworld of Seer, where they will face off on the Encore arenas map. The map houses two strategic strongpoints, each with its own direct and flanking routes. There's also a limited time event rewards track that will allow you to unlock spooky cosmetics for your Legends.

The Shadow Royale game mode will also be coming back. Slain Legends will come back as shadowy figures who can terrify enemies and help out teammates. There are no limits to shadow lives so you can skulk around until your whole team is wiped.
