Apex Legends’ eighth season, Mayhem, is well underway, and as dedicated players might expect, there’s already been a minor update to refine and smooth over some of those rough edges that the brand new season introduced. This always happens and isn’t much of a big deal, so don’t fret too much, as it’s already fixed.

Bloodhound mains will likely already be fully aware of which minor issue I’m referring to, as his all-important Scan ability was slightly bugged in the new season, in addition to a bunch of other minor issues. Such is life for an Apex Legends player. For all of the big weapon changes and legend updates we saw in Season 8, check out our full guide right here, but if you just want to see what’s been fixed in patch 1.58, read below for the full patch notes and a breakdown of what’s changed this time.

What Problems Did Patch 1.58 Fix In Apex Legends?

Apex Legends wasn’t exactly plagued with issues following the big Season 8 update, but that certainly doesn’t mean it was smooth sailing for the game upon launch. One of the big new additions to the overhauled Kings Canyon map was the loot holds, which can be opened with a stray grenade. These holds didn’t have many problems opening, but occasionally players complained about getting stuck when the door should open. A pretty big problem, honestly.

Another issue came for Bloodhound mains. It seems that if a player had already been scanned by a Bloodhound earlier in the match, then a second Bloodhound scan later on would prove to be entirely ineffective. This would essentially destroy the game plan of whichever Bloodhound player you came across second - a massive shame, to say the least. For the Bloodhound player, that is, not for me. I can’t stand Bloodhound players, cheeky little Recon warriors.

Full Apex Legends 1.58 Patch Notes

Here are the full patch notes for the latest, and most minor, update to Apex Legends. What does “various stability fixes” mean? I have absolutely no idea, but hopefully that means we won’t be coming across the dreaded Code:Leaf any time soon. Thanks to Dexerto for the patch notes.

  • Players not being scanned by Bloodhound’s tactical if already scanned by a different Bloodhound’s tactical
  • Errors related to explosive holds on Kings Canyon
  • Various stability fixes
  • Re-enabled some dialogue that was wrongly disabled

Let us know if you’ve had any recent bugs of glitches crop up on Apex Legends in Season 8 that haven’t been fixed with this patch.
