Once you have secured the materials to unlock an heirloom, you can decide which of your favorite legends you would like to outfit with a distinctive melee weapon that offers personalized animations. If you are in the market for an heirloom and are deciding which of these melee weapons is the perfect choice, then look no further.

10 Cold Steel - Bangalore

Similar to Bangalore's personality, her heirloom is harsh and efficient, a perfect weapon to tear apart her opponents. This heirloom is a large knife with a serrated edge and a glowing orange hue of energy that surges whenever Bangalore attacks with the blade.

While the animations on this knife are incredibly clean and demonstrate Banglarore's skill as a hardened soldier, the knife does not reflect the more personal aspects of her character. While other heirlooms include animations and backstory into a character's motivations or past trauma, this heirloom only showcases how skilled the character is with a knife.

9 Dead Man's Curve - Revenant

An image of Revenant's Heirloom from Apex Legends, a large red and black scythe with glowing orange energy on the blade.

One of the most anticipated heirlooms ever made was Revenant's scythe since the chilling design sparked intense interest in the community. This large heirloom is a red and black scythe with a glowing black and orange blade that changes shape.

While the inspection animations on the heirloom perfectly showcase Revenant's violent persona as a killer, most of the movement animations make the heirloom feel rather clunky. Specifically, actions like wall jumping or bunny hopping cause the heirloom to snap back harshly, making the entire heirloom feel anything but seamless.

8 War Club - Gibraltar

Gibraltar is one of the loudest, most personable legends in the game, and his war club heirloom reflects his boisterous personality. This war club is inspired by weapons from the pacific islands, updated to fit into Apex Legend's futuristic aesthetic will a metallic blade and glowing orange embers that resemble fire.

This heirloom not only glows beautifully on any map in the game, but the inspection animations can even trigger Gibraltar to inspect his shield or perform a special tribal dance. The heirloom's fluid animations and inclusion of Gibraltar's personal culture truly set this weapon far above many of the other heirlooms in the game.

7 Butterfly Knife - Octane

To match his over-the-top thrill-seeking personality, Octane arms himself with a butterfly knife filled with green liquid that he constantly flicks and plays with as he sprints across the battlefield. The liquid in this knife resembles the adrenaline that the legend injects himself with to trigger a speed boost, showcasing how reliant Octane is on the substance.

This heirloom not only perfectly matches the personality of Octane himself, but the blade also has incredibly satisfying animation. As you run around the battlefield, Octane will constantly twirl the butterfly knife around without taking up too much screen space.

6 Suzaka - Valkyrie

The largest heirloom in the entire game is the Suzaka or a metallic spear wielded by Valkyrie. This spear has golden cloud accents to match Valkyrie's aesthetic, and the tip of the spear even has small jet boosters, just like her jetpack.

The inspection animations in this heirloom showcase Valkyrie's carefree persona while also demonstrating the reverence she has for her family and father. However, similar to Revenant's heirloom, the Suzaka is a very large weapon that can take up a large portion of the screen, hindering your ability to spot enemies.

5 Energy Reader - Wattson

At first glance, Wattson's energy reader heirloom may not seem like the most visually appealing weapon. However, this heirloom comes with hilarious and clean animations that truly elevate it above the majority of heirlooms in the game.

This weapon unleashes static electricity whenever you strike an opponent and features Wattson's fun-loving personality through the inspection animations. Furthermore, this heirloom even has an extremely rare animation in which Wattson picks up and hugs a large plushie of Nessie.

4 Biwon Blade - Crypto

While Crypto does not sit in the best place competitively, his heirloom is truly a step above others. Specifically, Crypto's melee weapon is a white, green, and black blade that unfurls from a hilt made up of different computer parts.

The animations on this blade are incredibly swift, showcasing Crypto's skill with the blade without taking up too much screen space. Finally, the inspection animations for this heirloom showcase a photo of Crypto's family and his loving relationship with his hacking drone.

3 Hope's Dusk - Wraith

Although Wraith's kunai blade is the oldest heirloom in the entire game, but all the knife's animations have been updated since then to bring it up to date with modern standards. Now, Wraith players can enjoy the inspection animations that feature Wraith sending the knife through portals or sharpening the blade on her armor.

2 Showstoppers - Seer

Seer's melee weapons are two metallic blades shaped like crescent moons. These metallic, silver knives have gold accents and mini drones that the legend uses to hear the heartbeats of his enemies.

On top of the deadly blades, many of the inspection animations in this skin feature Seer pulling out a tablet to quickly draw a picture. Keep checking out these drawings, as some of the sketches are rarer than others and feature other legends in the game.

1 Garra De Alanza - Loba

Not surprisingly, Loba's heirloom is just as fabulous and stylish as the character herself. This heirloom is a white fan with sharp metallic blades decorating the edges, making the weapon both stylish and deadly.

The fan not only has incredibly fluid animations while Loba traverses around the battlefield but also showcases her ongoing feud with Revenant. If you are unsure of where to spend your heirloom shards, then this iconic fan is the perfect choice for anyone that wants to eliminate their enemies in style.
