Apex Legends Season 14: Hunted recently arrived with a slew of balance changes to keep the games fresh and a brand-new legend in Vantage. This new legend seems to have sparked quite a lot of interest from players as Apex Legends celebrates the release of Season 14 with its biggest concurrent player peak ever on Steam.According to Steamcharts.com (and noted by Apex Legends News), there were 510,286 players on Steam all playing Apex Legends at the same time in the past 24 hours. That’s the first time Apex Legends has ever crossed the 500,000 concurrent player mark on Steam and is the most concurrent players the game has ever had on the platform.Related: Apex Legends Season 14 Patch Notes: Winners And LosersOf course, there were undoubtedly more players on PlayStation, Xbox, and the Nintendo Switch, so that number might only represent a fraction of the player boom in Apex Legends.

Keeping the game fresh with map rotations, new cosmetics, and balance changes for weapons certainly helps, but the big draw to Season 14 is certainly Vantage. A sniper support character, Vantage’s kit provides her team with information on enemy squads such as range, shield rarity, and team size. Her Echo Relocation tactical ability allows her to throw her little bat friend to far away places and then use her jet pack to reach them. And finally, her Sniper's Mark ability lets Vantage take out her custom sniper rifle and fire away at opponents, dealing increased damage with successive hits. Struck enemies will also be marked for Vantage's teammates and take increased damage too.

Best of all, you don't have to wait for Vantage's Ultimate to be fully charged before use. As her charge grows, more bullets are added to Vantage's sniper rifle. A full magazine of five bullets will give players the ability to down foes, but even a single bullet can be used at any time to secure kills.

Apex Legends Season 14: Hunted is available now on every platform Apex Legends is played.
