Achieving yet another championship, TSM's roster – ImperialHal, Albralelie, and Reps – took home a big win in the North American Qualifier online tournament, the first of many competitions in the new Apex Legends Global Series. The team's victory marks their fourth straight title as they continue their dominance in the competitive scene.

The trio of terror previously won X Games Minneapolis, Apex Legends Preseason Invitational, GLL Apex Legends Series - NA. Despite their history of success, the qualifier favored no team; Each of the approximately 640 registered squads had to start from the bottom of the 5-round bracket. Advancement through the tournament's rounds were decided by a best-of-3 format (aside from the best-of-5 finals,) following the point system below.

Eliminating other players earned singular points, while placing top 3 in a match yielded generous totals. Many "tier 1" organizations and players felt that the best-of-3 format was far too luck-based to accurately reflect skill, taking to Twitter to complain.Even ImperialHal of Team SoloMid had a mouthful to say, despite winning the entire event.

Players also had issues with crashing, supposedly caused by the upcoming in-game event in Capitol City. If crashes weren't bad enough for teams, some never got a chance to compete, receiving notification that their squads didn't achieve the rank requirements needed. This led to the outrage of many who allegedly all "predator" rank, yet were disqualified regardless with little to no explanation from organizers.

Despite the controversial format, filled with confusion and crashing, TSM managed to play out of their minds. In the best-of-5 finals the team didn't win a single match, yet consistently performed well in each; The trio managed to secure 3rd place three times, 2nd place once, and 7th in another – ending with the most team kills in the tournament. TSM didn't win as handily as they would've liked, however, as Snip3down (Halo veteran), BcJ (Former T1), and gdolphn barely failed to beat the champs in the last match of the tournament.

Keep up with the excitement by following the upcoming action at Arlington Esports Stadium, located in Texas, where 80 of the world's best teams will battle it out live, March 13-15th.
