In this guide, we are going to take a look at how to get Nameless Venom, as well as what you can do with it. It's important to note that Nameless Venom is only available with the Aberration expansion of the game, and you cannot obtain it in the base game.

Where Does Nameless Venom Come From?

Nameless Venom comes from the Nameless. This is a mysterious creature that looks like a Chupacabra.

Nameless are a very aggressive creature, and can quickly kill you if you aren't paying attention. Due to their mysterious nature and aggressiveness, you are not able to tame, ride, or breed Nameless. This means that if you want their venom, you will need to seek them out.

Finding The Nameless

Thankfully, you can find Nameless pretty much everywhere on the Ark Aberration map, excluding fertile areas. While they can spawn in many places, they usually appear in the absence of light. This means that if there is no Charge Light, then Nameless have a higher chance of appearing.

If you wander around in darkness for a while, Nameless are bound to appear; they are incredibly common and can be quite annoying due to their spawn frequency.

To get Nameless Venom, you will first need to kill one, so let's look at how to do that next.

Killing A Nameless

nameless attacking player

As mentioned above, Nameless only appear in the absence of light. In this condition, they will attack and chase you until you are either too far, or near a light source for long enough.

This should be used to your advantage while attempting to kill a Nameless. When fighting, be sure that there is a nearby light source. If you are in danger, you can dash over to the light.

When near Charge Light, Nameless also regenerate health a bit slower. Because of this, we recommend standing near a Charge Light and attacking.

Nameless usually appear in groups. If left for long enough, one Nameless can turn into an Alpha and gain the ability to summon new Nameless.

If you are looking to farm their venom, then be sure to leave one alive so it can become an Alpha and then summon more Nameless.

If you have a tamed Basilisk, we also recommend using them to attack the Nameless. Basilisk poison can affect the Nameless, which is quite effective if you are also near a Charge Light.

Harvesting Nameless Venom

Once the Nameless is dead, it's time to extract the Nameless Venom. You can get this venom directly from the corpse of the Nameless that you have killed. The drop rate for Nameless Venom is not guaranteed, so you may need to kill several of these creatures before you find some.

What To Do With Nameless Venom?

Now that you have Nameless Venom, it's time to use it. The main purpose of Nameless Venom is to raise Rock Drakes. A baby Rock Drake will only consume Nameless Venom, as it is needed to mature them.

Once the Rock Drake has grown into an adult, they can eat other foods, but nameless Venom will restore 100 of their HP.

In addition to raising Rock Drakes, you can also use Nameless Venom as an antidote for Lamprey Poison, as well as a cure for Swamp Fever. Lastly, Nameless Venom is used to summon Rockwell, one of the main antagonists in the Aberration expansion of Ark Survival Evolved.
