The excitement surrounding Armored Core 6: Fires Of Rubicon seems to be bumping up the price of other games in the series on eBay as more fans go to play the older Armored Core games. Thanks to the huge success of Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Elden Ring, and, well, pretty much everything that has FromSoftware's name on it, the hype for Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is reaching a fever pitch, especially after the recent gameplay trailer reveal. This is quite the feat for a series that used to be considered niche, but it seems that more and more people are looking to revisit those older games to prepare for the next entry.Related: Thank God Armored Core 6 Isn't A Souls GameThat's according to how much more expensive older games in the series have gotten, at least. As reported by GamesRadar+, pretty much every game in the series has become more expensive since the reveal of Fires of Rubicon back in December, something that hasn't slowed down in recent months since the gameplay reveal.

Using PriceCharting, which combines sales data from several retailers and sites to track the prices of games, we can see that several of the games have seen big price increases recently. Let's start with Armored Core on the PS1, which was going for around $30.92 for a complete-in-box copy at the start of 2021, before jumping up to $46 in 2022.

Now, after the announcement of Armored Core 6 in December, the price rose to a staggering $105.29. It then jumped up to $223.45 in January, before evening out to $112.63 this month, but it's still a big jump and a sign that more people are trying to give the first game a go.

The first Armored Core has seen the biggest jump, but every other game in the series has also seen a price rise in recent months. Armored Core 2, which you could get for around $15 back in October 2022, jumped to $36.58 after the reveal of Armored Core 6, and has now settled to around $38.95.

Things only get more expensive the further you get after Armored Core 2 - the third game in the series was previously going for less than $20 before the sixth game was announced, but now sells for around $68.96, while Armored Core 4 has gone from less than $30 to just over $60 as of this month. Finally, Armored Core 5 has gone from the still-surprisingly-expensive price of $34.99 before the reveal to now sell for around $63.85.
