Let's face it — there are way too many gaming chairs on the market. A cursory search through Amazon pulls up nearly 500 products, making the task of finding a good seat more challenging than it needs to be. Fear not, as the Vernazza Soft Fabric Gaming Chair by Arozzi will end your quest immediately.

Incredible Comfort From The Vernazza

I'll come right out and say it — this is one of the best seats I've had the pleasure of plopping down in for hours on end. Whether I'm working or gaming, the seat cushion provides plenty of support for prolonged use while remaining comfortable for the duration of my work. The soft fabric is another great touch, as it helps dissipate body heat and gives the sensation that you're just sitting on a really comfortable couch. It's also incredibly quiet when compared to leather chairs — there's no awkward squeaking or rubbing when you shift around in your seat.

Like any good gaming throne, the Vernazza is highly adjustable. The armrests allow for three dimensional changes (up/down, forward/back, in/out), the backrest reclines to a nearly horizontal position (for taking naps or gaming on your fancy ceiling-mounted TV), and the chair's tension can easily be increased or decreased.

A Beautifully Supportive Throne

However, what really sets this chair apart from the competition is its supportive lumbar and neck pillows. Unlike similar products, these supports stay in place during prolonged use and actually provide the relief they claim to. Usually, I find myself removing support pillows from other gaming chairs as they don't do a good job keeping me comfortable. Thankfully, that wasn't the case here.

Beyond all the functionality of the Vernazza, it's also a beautifully designed product. My wife regularly steals it away from my desk not only because it's comfy, but because it just looks so damn good. The sleek black base is understated, yet professional, and meshes perfectly with the inviting fabric seat. It doesn't look as intimidating as most gaming chairs — instead looking immediately approachable and comfortable.

My only complaint regards the design of the neck support pillow. It's held in place by a thick black band that straps around the headrest, and although this is a functionally solid design, it unfortunately covers up part of the Arozzi logo on the back of the chair. This gives it a bit of a strange look, and it's especially noticeable as the rest of the product is so well-designed. But, that's only one small knock on an otherwise fantastic chair.

Worth The Price Of Entry

Whether you plan to use this for gaming or working, you can't go wrong. The price is on the higher end of the spectrum — retailing at $449.99 — but the Vernazza is a product that will last you for years. Plus, if you are regularly at your desk for an extended period, it's worth the investment. The last thing you want is a cheap chair that doesn't support your body properly, leading to back pain, neck pain, and general discomfort.

After several weeks of using the Vernazza, typically sitting in it for at least seven hours a day, I can confidently say that this is the gaming chair to beat. At the end of a gaming or writing session I have no pain and honestly prefer sitting in the Vernazza over all my other furniture. The only drawback is lugging it across the apartment when my wife steals it away to her office.

A Light Gray Vernazza was provided to TheGamer for this review. The Vernazza is available at the official Arozzi website for $449.99 and comes in four different color configurations.
