One of the things that makes Assassin's Creed stand out from the rest of the RPGs out there is its parkour mechanics. Leaping across buildings and scrambling up walls is a lot of fun when you're doing it in third-person, but have you ever imagined what it might look like from Ezio Auditore's perspective as he dashes from rooftop to rooftop? Well now you don't have to, as one fan has recreated Assassin's Creed 2 in VR and it's just as hard on your stomach as you can imagine.

First shared to the Assassin's Creed subreddit by u/DemoAkuroVR, they give fans a glimpse into what it might look like should Ubisoft ever decide to revisit Asassin's Creed 2 and give it the VR treatment. The video starts off with a mercifully short climbing section, revealing just how stomach churning it would be to parkour around 15th Century Italy.

We then get to some combat, and Ezio's uncle Mario probably wouldn't be too thrilled to find him decapitating mercenaries in his villa. The video shows the player using a variety of weapons like spears and axes to take down plenty of approaching enemies, each one dispatched in a unique way that you could only really pull off in a VR game.

It's worth noting that u/DemoAkuroVR hasn't actually used Assassin's Creed 2 to make this video, rather they've used a different game called Blade & Sorcery. With a bunch of different mods made by someone called JoshonNexus9, they've managed to make a pretty impressive video of themselves at the Monteriggioni Villa playing as a model of Ezio. There's even a full video you can watch on u/DemoAkuroVR's YouTube channel if you want to see more.

In more official Assassin's Creed-related news, it's been rumored by notable industry insider Tom Henderson that upcoming title Mirage is planning to release in August 2023, and has allegedly been internally delayed twice already.
