Garena has announced its first collaboration of 2022 that will bring content from the Assassin's Creed series into mobile battle royale Free Fire. The event will start this March.

As the company revealed, Free Fire's next crossover event will be with "one of gaming's most known" and Ubisoft's best-selling series ever — Assassin's Creed. According to what we know, the players will see iconic characters from the series introduced into the world of Free Fire. Earlier, the mobile game held similar events with popular anime series, such as One-Punch Man and Attack on Titan.

The first promo materials for the collaboration show Ezio Auditore da Firenze from Assassin's Creed 2, suggesting fans will actually meet iconic hooded masters rather than completely new characters arriving in Free Fire. Players should also expect plenty of unique items and bundles, including exclusive weapons and new skins available for a limited time as with other crossovers. The event will begin this March with more details to be shared by the developers from Garena in the coming weeks.

In the press release, Garena states that "this partnership builds on Free Fire's strategy to deliver content that excites" the community. Free Fire was the most downloaded mobile game on Google Play in 2021, and you have to keep the players engaged to stay on top.

Such enormous demand for Free Fire among the players on Android has apparently led to PUBG developer Krafton filing a massive lawsuit against Garena with the claim that the company's mobile battle royale is too similar to Krafton's. In return, Garena's spokesperson stated that "Krafton's claims are groundless."

Free Fire is currently available to download for free on the Apple iOS and Google Play stores. Back in September, the game received a major upgrade, Fire Free Max, including more realistic maps, exclusive features, and improved animations. The Max version also introduces a brand-new feature called Craftland, which allows you to create your own map and share it with other players.
