Assassin's Creed Valhalla gives you several options for customizing your character, and one of those ways is through the use of tattoos. These tattoos can be applied to the face, back, and chest, but the arm tattoos are more sought after than the rest. They come in many different colors and shapes that speak to players based on their personality and style.

The unique perk about some of the arm tattoos is they are not the same design on both arms, which pushes them higher in this ranking.

10 Skraelingi Emblem

This tattoo can be found by chasing down one of the flying papers, and it is fairly mediocre compared to the other tattoos on this list. It is perfect as an accent for a more intricate design on another arm, but it is fairly certain that most users won't use this on both arms. The bluish-gray of the paint used makes it stand out, although not enough to push it any further up this ranking.

9 Midgard

This tattoo is more intricate than the Skraelingi Emblem, but it still serves as more of an accent for the secondary arm. Players love the angle of the tattoo as it cuts off in a smooth line three quarters up the arm, as well as the various shapes included in its design. Overall, it is a solid choice that speaks to Eivor's past, but there are so many better options for those looking to have full sleeves on both arms.

8 Hel Sign

The Hel Sign tattoo is very detailed, although the downfall is that it looks like a jumbled mess on your screen. The use of circles and blocks of pattern was a nice idea, and it would have been further up the ranking if a different design inside of these pieces had been used. The one thing that helped save it was the way it extends down over the middle and pointer fingers, so it can be seen even if a full set of armor is being worn.

7 Dupuytren Emblem

The Dupuytren Emblem is simplistic, yet elegant in a way that other tattoos on this list are not. It is perfect if you are looking for a minimalistic look for Eivor, as it extends down her entire arm, but is not as flashy or busy as some other tattoos.

However, it was ranked a bit lower because of this fact, as most Vikings will want to be immersed in the culture and decked out in tattoos that are full of life. The tinted color does make it different and a bit more savage than a few of the other tattoos.

6 Jormungandr

This tattoo extends over the shoulder and draws the eye in a multitude of different ways, even if tattoos may not be historically accurate. There is so much to drink in with this tattoo between the jagged lines heading up the bicep, and the battle axes on her hands. It is a bit busy, but not so much that it detracts from its design, as it works to highlight Eivor's muscles.

5 Gungnir Strike

The Gungnir Strike tattoo is appealing to players as the sharp lines are as piercing as the battle-ax that Eivor wields.  It looks like someone carved up the arm in the middle of battle, but it doesn't appear to be random as a true artist gave it a beautiful layout on Eivor's arm. The way it hugs the top of her shoulder is superb and overall it is just an attractive design that has players wanting to finish the game to find it.

4 Mimir

The Mimir tattoo design adds a bit of flair to Eivor due to its two-tones color scheme. The patterns it contains are not too busy and are easy to distinguish on your character's arm.

This design isn't for everyone, as using it on both arms can be a bit of an eyesore, but using it on one arm with a simple black design on the other is the way to go. This design is loved by many, although, there are a few other designs that are better which is why it isn't at the top of this list.

3 Muninn Call

This tattoo design highlights the various parts of Eivor's arm, which is why it is close to the top of this ranking and serves as a reason for players to upgrade their settlement with a Tattoo and Barber Hut. The series of circles is placed beautifully around her shoulder, while the next three patterns draw the eye to her elbow, forearm, and hands. It is almost like four different tattoos were singularly placed on Eivor's arm, rather than it being one cohesive sleeve.

2 Mjolnir Sign

Mjolnir Sign is one of the tattoos with different art on each of the arms, which is something any pro player would know. The right arm appears to have a Viking wearing a medallion inked on it between two star-like art pieces.

The left arm also features two star-like patterns, but they are a bit different than those on the right and the pattern is a bit more simplistic. The right arm is the favorite of the two, although the two tattoos add enough variation that they can be used on each arm for a complete look.

1 Sigrdrifumal

The Sigrdrifumal tattoo is at the top of the ranking because of its layers of patterns and darkness. It is another tattoo with two different patterns for each arm, which is something players wish they knew before starting the game.

The right arm is a little lighter and has markings at the top, while the left arm has a darkness that extends over the shoulder and onto Eivor's chest. It is best to use these in tandem as they complement each other in the best way possible, which is why it is the best of all of the arm tattoos in Valhalla.
