Assassin's Creed: Valhalla is Ubisoft's latest Assassin's Creed titles and was one of the previous year's most anticipated games. Following a franchise that's already well-established and a brand that's well-known to gamers far and wide, Assassin's Creed: Valhalla had a lot riding on it, and many gamers and critics will argue that the game delivered, while many found it to be just a tad disappointing.

Whether you liked the game or not, the herculean scale and the level of immersion the game was able to put out cannot be discredit. The world of Assassin's Creed: Valhalla is immense and filled with a lot of secret locations with Easter eggs, items, and valuable information many players still haven't discovered to this day.

10 Location Of The Excalibur

Excalibur in Assassin's Creed Valhalla

The Excalibur Greatsword is arguably one of the best weapons you can wield in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. However, things that are worth it rarely come easy. Finding this famous greatsword will take an immense amount of effort and time, but the reward is worth the dedication.

For you to gain access to this legendary weapon, you'll first have to find the 11 tablets that are scattered all throughout the game. A few of these can be looted in hidden caverns, while some require you to defeat zealots of the Order of the Ancients. Once all 11 are collected, you need to go to Myrddin's Cave. Here the legendary weapon will be ripe for the taking.

9 Stonehenge

There is a very specific type of mystery in Assassin's Creed Valhalla called the Standing Stones. These towering monuments act as puzzles, and once solved, will provide you with one full skill point. There are a ton of Standing Stones all throughout the game, but one of them stands out as the one most people are probably already familiar with.

One of these Standing Stones is the world-famous Stonehenge, a historic monument and a world heritage site. Those who haven't yet been to the popular destination can visit the place in the game, and doing so will give them a much-needed skill point. The Stonehenge can be located in Hamtunscire.

8 Snake Cabin

You'll have to reach to the end of the world and beyond to correlate Assassin's Creed Valhalla with the Harry Potter franchise. Despite how far-removed the two franchises are, there's actually an Easter egg in the game that honors the highly popular wizarding world of Harry Potter.

There is a cabin in Lunden that is remarkable for being guarded by a snake. Once you've killed the snake, you can enter the cabin to discover a list with seven items that are highly recognizable to any Potterheads out there. The seven items that are referred to on the list are the seven Horcruxes in Harry Potter, with the seventh being marked as "???", which is supposed to be Harry himself.

7 The Bonfire

Dark Souls Remastered Knight Lighting Bonfire

The Dark Souls franchise is one of the most critically-acclaimed and influential games of all time. Many video games today attribute their shift in combat direction to Dark Souls' combat mechanics. A few other games, despite not borrowing a mechanic or two from the popular franchise, simply honor the game in the form of an Easter egg.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is another game that references FromSoftware's popular franchise. In Ledecestre, there is a ruin where Dark Souls' iconic bonfire can be seen just after the entrance. The bonfire features a sword plunged into the fire, similar to how they're portrayed in the referenced video game.

6 Rapunzel's Tower

While exploring Ledecestre, you will encounter a tower with a wailing woman inside, with a guard standing right outside the door. At first, it appears as if the guard is keeping the woman imprisoned against her will. However, after you approach and fight him, it is revealed that what you have witnessed was nothing more than a roleplay gone wrong.

After you defeat her guard, the lady inside the tower will then suggest that it is now your turn to guard her, as a form of seduction. It is a twist, albeit an incredibly bizarre one, on a tale most folks are surely familiar with by now.

5 Dunwic Prison Room

While infiltrating a fortress in Dunwic in the East Anglia region, you will be able to hear a voice pleading for help. Following this will lead you to a prison room, one that is filled with multiple Easter eggs.

The room itself carries a heavy resemblance to that of Tyrion's memorable sky cell at The Vale. Inside this cell are a flock of chickens. If you attack just one of them, the rest of the bunch will attack you, similar to how chickens would retaliate if you attacked them in Breath of the Wild. On top of that, there's also a letter in this cell that talks about hairy spiders whispering to him, a most likely reference to H.P. Lovecraft's The Dunwich Horror, which the area's name shares a close resemblance to.

4 Hobbiton

Fans of the Lord of the Rings franchise will find absolute delight if they happen to stumble upon this incredible place located in the Glowecesterscire region. Within this region is a town called Glowcester. You must start here if you wish to find the home of the hobbits in the game.

If you proceed west of the town right after the bridge, you will find a place that bears a striking resemblance to Hobbiton, from the cottages' architecture to the area's greenery.

3 Location of the Hidden One Armor

Heike the Zealot in Assassin's Creed Valhalla

The Hidden One armor set in Assassin's Creed Valhalla is one of the best ones the game has to offer. It is also the one that will make you look like a full-pledged assassin. Naturally, getting the chance to wield this armor won't come easy.

The full armor set isn't located in one place either. Instead, each part is scattered in different Hidden Ones Bureaus all throughout England. The robe is located in the Jorvik bureau, the leggings in Glowecestrescire, the hood in Colcestre, the mask in Lunden, the claw in Wincestre, and the gauntlets in Lesecestre.

2 The Real World

While the real world itself isn't necessarily difficult to get to, this particular content that is located in the real world is something that not many players will get the chance to discover. This is a shame considering it holds one of the best Easter eggs in the game.

If you exit the Animus and play as Layla, you can check out her laptop to find this incredible Easter egg. Inside one of the files are recordings of an old character and a fan-favorite, Desmond Miles, talking about his experiences as an assassin.

1 Asgard

There is a quest in Assassin's Creed Valhalla called Going Deeper, which will take you to the home of the gods themselves. This part of the game is apparently nothing more than a vision brought upon by Valka's potions, but it's an incredible section nonetheless that feels like it belongs in its very own DLC.

All you need to do to visit Valhalla yourself is to follow Valka's quest as soon as she arrives at your camp. This involves you collecting a couple of herbs for her so she can concoct the necessary potion, and you should be able to visit the gorgeous and astounding world of Asgard right away.
