During Ubisoft’s 2020-2021 financial year earnings report, the company seemingly hinted that more additional content is coming to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The latest installment has already established itself as the biggest launch ever for the franchise.
Ubisoft’s chief financial officer, Frederick Duguet, revealed Valhalla would benefit from the “biggest, longest, strongest post-launch strategy” in the series’ history, as pointed by VGC. The game is about to receive its first major DLC Wrath of the Druids, with the second pack The Siege of Paris slated for release in Summer.
Both previous entries — Assassin’s Creed Origins and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey — have received as many as two big expansions, which significantly enlarge the game worlds with new territories and quests. However, Duguet’s words may indicate that much more additional content is on the table this time around.
This smoothly comes together with the previous leak of a third unannounced expansion, which has something to do with the word “Meteor.” This content may have something to do with the burning land of Muspelheim for players to explore after the realms of Jötunheim and Asgard. It is possible though, that Muspelheim will be available as part of Wrath Of The Druids incoming DLC.
Another fresh hint was dropped recently by none other than Magnus Bruun, the voice of male Eivor in Valhalla. Danish actor revealed he’s back to the voice-over job for Assassin’s Creed once again, despite finishing his voicing for The Siege of Paris back in February.
Earlier reports suggest the third Valhalla DLC might be a standalone release, though Ubisoft hasn’t confirmed any additional content for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla planned outside of the Season Pass. The company has just dropped the launch trailer for Wrath Of The Druids expansion, releasing on May 13. The players will travel to Ireland and visit Dublin, while trying to stop the grim cult The Children of Danu. And there will be some werewolves, too.
In another intel from Ubisoft’s earnings report, we learned that Far Cry 6, Rainbow Six Quarantine, Riders Republic, The Division Heartlands, and Roller Champions are all coming before March 2022. However, it seems that the long-awaited pirate game Skull and Bones has once again been delayed into the 2022-2023 financial year.
