Ubisoft has just revealed that the next Assassin’s Creed Valhalla title update is scheduled for tomorrow, September 7, and will bring new River Raids content among other improvements.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla enjoys the longest post-launch support in the franchise’s history, and it seems the team has no intentions to stop. The game has already received its two major expansions included in the season pass (with another DLC teased on the horizon), and a bunch of minor content drops, including two additional game modes. The Viking open-world action game is about to get even bigger tomorrow with a new patch 1.3.1, bringing additional content to the River Raids mode.

Ubisoft has announced the next title update for Valhalla arriving on September 7. The most notable addition will be three rivers — Erriff, Berbha, and Rhine — for the fans of the River Raid mode. In this activity, you'll get to travel across new landscapes on your longboat, slaying foes and looting nearby lands and places along the way.

With the new patch, you’ll get new rewards (armor and weapons), upgrades for your buildings and longship, and three new abilities. Discovering near-shore monasteries, Eivor can master Percussion Arrow to stagger enemies hitting their shields, Precision Axe Throw to target a weak point, or Spinning Harpoon ability to knock back your foes.

You can also expect changes to the Rune perk system, new Aesir (Nightmare) combat difficulty addition, new free Eivor’s tattoos via Ubisoft Connect, and plenty of improvements and bug fixes for the base game and its expansions. You can learn the full changelog on the official site.

The developers clarified that update 1.3.1 will take from 14 GB on PS5 to 34 GB on Xbox Series X|S in download size. The patch will be deployed on all platforms at 2pm CEST, 8am ET, 5am PT, and 10pm AEST.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s latest expansion The Siege of Paris launched a month ago, adding a new kingdom of West Francia to explore. With its addition, Valhalla now boasts enough content to keep you engaged for hundreds of hours — which is a wise move considering the series is skipping 2021 to build a foundation for Assassin’s Creed Infinite.
