Ubisoft has issued two hotfixes for Assassin's Creed Valhalla, addressing issues that halted progress on two separate missions.

Today's hotfixes squashed bugs in Carrying the Torch and The Odor at the Tithe quests. Before this patch, some players were experiencing issues interacting with Tove upon completing Carrying the Torch – effectively halting their progress. A similar problem was happening during The Odor at the Tithe quest, as players were unable to move certain shelves, preventing them from finishing the mission.

For the fixes to take effect, however, you'll need to complete a few basic tasks. First, create a manual save file. Once that's done, close and relaunch your game, loading the manual save you just created. That should properly implement the latest hotfixes, letting you go about your day uninterrupted by pesky bugs.

Ubisoft does note, however, that if you attempt to load your new manual save before interacting with Tove or the shelves, you might need to relaunch your game. Long story short, create a manual save and restart your game – doing that should properly install the update.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla was met with critical and commercial success when it launched last year, earning praise throughout the industry and putting up impressive sales numbers. Like all massive releases, however, it wasn't without its fair share of bugs. Ubisoft has been hard at work churning out patches and hotfixes on a weekly basis, removing many of the progress-halting bugs plaguing the hills of England.

A few weeks ago, the company pushed Title Update 1.1.1 live, ridding Valhalla of numerous bugs and bringing a few quality of life improvements. These Title Updates work on a much larger scale than hotfixes, which aim to squash a few nasty bugs as soon as possible. If you happen to be one of the many players experiencing issues with Tove or The Odor at the Tithe, now is a great time to go back and finish them.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla's latest hotfix is now available on all platforms.
