We are just days away from the release of Astral Chain, and Nintendo gave fans some amazing gameplay footage at Gamescom 2019.

Astral Chain is an original property exclusive to the Nintendo Switch. The game takes place in the year 2079 where you play as an officer in a special police task force while the world is on the brink of extinction. With the August 30th release date coming in hot, fans only have to wait a few more days to get their hands on it.

Astral Chain looks beautiful, and the newest gameplay video only reinforces that idea. The footage allows fans to see a previously unseen area, as well as new enemies and what it looks like when you traverse the astral plane. Even though the astral plane was originally not part of the concept for the game, the creative team decided to incorporate it into Astral Chain to add more depth to an already impressive game. The astral plane looks stunning. It's design is simple and engaging; a choice made deliberately by the creative team.

Fans are excited for Astral Chain to come out soon. Everything we have seen so far points to an interesting and varied game experience with beautiful design to tie it all together. The story elements should make for a fun gaming experience and it all seems to mesh well with the art style.

Being exclusive to the Nintendo Switch, fans of the console have a chance to claim what will hopefully be one of the best games of the year. The Switch sometimes gets flak for not being powerful enough to run great looking games, but based on everything we have seen so far, the gameplay for Astral Chain looks beautiful and is one of the best looking games for the Nintendo Switch.

Fans will flock to get this game in just a few days and the excitement is palpable. Astral Chain is looking to be another wonderful addition to Nintendo's impressive, growing catalog, and has the chance to be a game changer for the Switch going forward. Thankfully, Nintendo has given us some lengthy gameplay to hold us over until August 30th gets here.
