Furthermore, you will also build new Ateliers for Ryza and her party in each region you visit in the game. You can create three different types of Ateliers, all with unique benefits that make them remarkably useful if used to the best of their abilities.

Atelier Remodeling Overview

Ryza and her party building a new Atelier within a new region in Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key

There are several expansive regions you can explore in Atelier Ryza 3, each offering unique Materials and Resources for you to gather to use with Ryza's Alchemy to create powerful equipment for your party to be ready for nearly every situation.

This makes traveling to and from your Atelier a crucial aspect of the core gameplay loop, making things such as Atelier Building a feature that should not be taken lightly. Within each region of Atelier Ryza 3, you will be able to build an Atelier that you can Fast Travel to, store your newly gathered Materials, and Synthesize new Items. These regions are as follows:

  • Cleria
  • Kurk Islands
  • Nemed
  • Underworld Orim

Within these four regions, you will be able to build a new Atelier, making things much more manageable and far less tedious, as you will not have to Fast Travel back to the Pixie Forest just to create new Items. The three types of Ateliers you can build are:

  • Research Base
  • Farm
  • Laboratory

Building a new Atelier will happen naturally in all four regions as you progress through the game's Main Questline, so you don't have to worry about missing them or anything like that. However, all three Atelier types will grant you different bonuses and benefits, which we will cover in the sections below!

Research Base Atelier

The Research Base Atelier is geared more toward exploration, as it will mark all Treasures in the region on your map and give you more Random Quests, making it an excellent option for the early portions of the game.

In addition to giving you a helping hand during exploration, the Gathering Nodes in the region will also have a much higher chance of being rare, offering you better Materials overall. This Atelier Type will also make Landmarks recharge at a faster rate, enabling you to craft more Keys from them consistently.

Finally, you can expand the Atelier to enhance its effects, which should be done as soon as possible, as you won't be in any one region forever. However, before you can upgrade your Atelier, you must first build it, which requires some Materials. The table below showcases the materials needed to make the Research Base Atelier!

Farm Atelier

Next is the Farm Atelier, which is the most unique of the bunch and offers excellent Gathering bonuses, making it a must-build for those who want to create powerful Items. This Atelier will increase the overall Quality of Gathered Materials and their Traits.

Additionally, the Farm Atelier will also add a Garden for you to manage, allowing you to plant Seeds and harvest Crops, giving you access to rare and valuable Resources to use in your Alchemy. Most Seeds are found within Supply Points and can only be obtained by using Rare or Super Rare Keys to open them.

Expanding the Farm Atelier will enhance your Crops and further increase the Quality of the Materials you Gather along with their Traits. But, like the others, you must first possess the required Materials to build the Farm Atelier, which you can find in the table below!

Due to the majority of Seeds being obtained by use of Rare or Super Rare Keys, it might be best to hold off on building the Farm Atelier until a bit later in your adventure, as you will not be able to take full advantage of it until then!

Laboratory Atelier

Last in line is the Laboratory Atelier, which will grant you a much-needed SP boost in the early portions of your adventure, making it one of the best choices for the first or second region. In addition to receiving more SP during Synthesis, Merchants will also periodically visit your Atelier, giving you access to unique Materials.

SP is a crucial aspect of Atelier Ryza 3 but can be hard to earn, especially in the early goings of the game, so taking advantage of the Laboratory will help you out tremendously. Furthermore, expanding the Laboratory will not only increase your SP gain or the Merchant's inventory, but it will also increase the odds of Materials having Super Traits when Gathered.

Like all the others, however, you must first build the Laboratory Atelier before expanding it or receiving its bonuses and effects. To do this, you will need specific Materials, which are outlined for you in the table below!
