Giving your party the best equipment in Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key will make them nearly unstoppable in battle, especially if they are fitted with the proper Traits and Super Traits that help isolate and enhance specific Skills to give you an extra edge over your opponents.
There are hundreds of Traits and Super Traits in Atelier Ryza 3, with lots of Weapons, Armor, Accessories, and Consumables to Synthesize, making the possibilities nearly endless when it comes to experimenting with new builds or combinations.
Armor Overview
Armor is undoubtedly one of the most crucial pieces of gear you can make with Ryza's masterful Alchemy. It will grant you significant protection during battle, enabling you to stay in the fight much longer than before while also applying some buffs to help your offensive capabilities.
When it comes to getting the most out of your Armor in Atelier Ryza 3, you should have the Traits and Super Traits focus on providing you with extra DEF and ATK, but you should also seek out the ones that raise your overall HP as well.
Not only will this keep you from getting taken down almost immediately against the more formidable foes you encounter, but it will also give you a slight boost to your offense, making your Weapon and Accessories shine a bit brighter than they already do.
Your overall focus will be to Synthesize a piece of Armor that will give you tremendous Defense and additional HP to work with, with the secondary focus being on raising all other Stats if possible, or your Attack to help round out the characters and their builds.
Armor Crafting
Crafting Armor follows the same pattern as all the other things you will Synthesize in the game, such as Accessories, Core Items, and Weapons, meaning you must utilize the Rebuilding system to get the most out of your Armor and ensure its the best you can make.
Rebuilding will allow you to focus on getting the Traits and Super Traits you need while also enabling you to fill out all Material Loops, raising the Armor's Quality and Level to the max, giving you its best Effects and protections as a result.
Furthermore, you can also take advantage of the Duplication system to make copies of your perfectly crafted Armor and give them to your other party members, eliminating the tedium of attempting to remake the same sets of Armor over and over again.
Lastly, you can also take advantage of the Reinforce system, which will make your Armor even stronger than ever before by folding other powerful pieces of equipment into it to raise its Stats. These systems can and should be taken advantage of to get the most out of your gear!
Best Armor
Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key has many pieces of Armor you can Synthesize for Ryza and her friends, but only a couple of them seem to stand tall against the game's most formidable monsters.
However, while we only found a couple that seems extremely strong with the proper Traits and Super Traits, there could very well be another combination of Armor and Traits out there that thwomp these ones, as the possibilities are near-endless.
This game encourages experimentation and exploration more than anything else, so there might be something even better out there that will provide stronger Defense while also giving you a substantial boost to your other Stats to help balance everyone out in battle.
But, for now, the table below shows the pieces of Armor you should focus on making. They will offer you excellent protection and buffs that will make you nearly unstoppable in combat encounters, even when facing off against the strongest opposition.

Please note that the Super Traits are bolded in the table above and that all Traits and Super Traits can be swapped out for others if you feel you have found a better pairing or combination. If you think a Trait will better fit a character or their play style, you should change and experiment as much as possible to find your perfect build!
The Kruger Cloak Armor works best on Ryza and Empel, while the Armanoir Armor will work on all the others!
